We would like to thank all of you who participated in the sports complex
survey.
The response was amazing and your opinions were greatly
appreciated.
Start your 4th of July right and come help us honor one of our
Country’s first Veterans, John Abston, a REVOLUTIONARY WAR
veteran and Texas pioneer. Join us for a free pancake breakfast at
9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 4th. The Ceremony will be held at Lakeview
Cemetery at 2323 Lake Rd. (corner of Lake Rd. and SH78), Lavon, TX.
Now that school is out and the temperature is heating up, you might want to
consider bringing the kids up to the gym at City Hall to play. As with any
facility, there are a few rules that must be followed:
1. Only court shoes are allowed on the gym floor. Hard sole or black sole
shoes are not permitted.
2. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. Undergarments must be
covered. “Sagging” pants are prohibited.
3. Food, drinks, gum and candy are prohibited on the gym floor during
open gym.
4. The stage area is strictly off limits unless the stage is rented
5. Drills, reps, exercises or general instructions that reflect the image of a
team and/or organized practice is prohibited in the gym during open
play.
We are asking that you sign in and out at the front office and sign a waiver
prior to the use of the gym.
The City Offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of
Independence Day. Please have a safe and enjoyable holiday everyone!
