The Emanuel Arts Council (EAC) is a 501(c)3
The Emanuel Arts Council (EAC) is a 501(c)3 organization whose program funding is supported in large part by its membership. The points listed below, amongst others, and the visual and performing arts provided periodically by the EAC, are significant reasons to become a member. Membership supports the community through the EAC’s art programs, so important to the cultural and intellectual health of the community. Support from the community is vital to our survival. As a non-profit organization, funding is extremely challenging and we have almost the same costs of doing business as a for profit organization. Simply put-we need your support to continue these important art programs and events. Why have arts programs? Communities that offer robust arts and cultural activities are viewed as more desirable places to live, work and visit. A growing body of research shows that thriving arts programs are crucial for the financial health and vitality of their communities. The arts foster imagination and facilitate success inside and outside the classroom. Ongoing research confirms a positive relationship between arts education and improved academics for all students. An education that includes the arts helps produce critical, innovative thinkers who are prepared to take their place in a rapidly-paced, constantly changing work environment. Support for the arts is a sound investment of public dollars that provides significant returns including: public/private partnerships, downtown revitalization efforts, invigorated community development projects, support for arts education in our schools, and contributions to a vibrant quality of life in our community. Join today and become part of this important aspect of community development. The membership levels are listed below. Please join, or if already a member, renew and help us keep YOUR community arts program a vital community development contributor. If you have questions, please contact the EAC. Telephone-478-237-2592. Thank you in advance for your support. Summer Programs are listed below.
