Rental Agreement Thank you for your interest in renting the Cleveland Park Club! Please complete and sign this agreement and mail to the Club along with your $300.00 security deposit (instructions below). The manager of the Club will contact you to confirm your rental, review rental regulations, answer your questions, and schedule a walk-through prior to your event. Pool rentals must conclude when lifeguards can no longer clearly see the bottom of the deep end of the pool (exact time varies). Description of Event (what is it, who’s attending, any guests with special needs, what do you want to bring into/remove from facilities, special requests, etc.): Rental Fee: $ Please leave blank; fee will be calculated by Club manager. To be paid by check or PayPal once manager has confirmed rental on Club calendar and calculated rental fee. Security Deposit: $300.00 to be paid by personal check and submitted with this signed Agreement. Deposit checks will be destroyed by the Club or returned (upon request) after your rental has occurred and if you and your guests have abided by all rental rules and regulations. Checks should be made payable to “Cleveland Park Club” and mailed to The Cleveland Park Club, 3433 33rd Place NW, Washington, DC 20008. Cancellations: To cancel a rental, please provide 7 days’ notice or you will be charged in full. April 2015 Rental Rules and Regulations: Please initial each item below. On behalf of myself and my guests, I agree to the following: _ The maximum number of attendees at my event is no more than 40 persons. _ We will abide by the time limits set forth in our Rental Agreement, arriving no earlier than _________ for set-up and departing no later than __________ after completion of clean-up. I will stay on-site for the duration of my rental period. _ Arrival and Departure: I will instruct all guests to use the Club’s entrance at 3300 Ordway Street NW for arrival and departure. Exceptions may be made for guests to use the entrance at 3433 33rd Place NW if they cannot climb up the stairs on the lawn that lead from Ordway Street to the clubhouse or the stairs to the pool. _ Parking: I (or a specified guest) will use the Club’s one parking space at the end of 33rd Place NW (to the right of the tree as you face the dead-end/north). Only one vehicle may be in this space at any given time (e.g., for unloading and loading of supplies, handicapped parking, etc.) and vehicle must be positioned so as not to block the neighbors’ driveways. No other vehicles may stand or park on 33rd Place NW north of Highland Place NW at any time. _ Club Sandwich Board Sign: I will place the Club’s sandwich board sign at the end of 33rd Place NW, just north of Highland Place NW, to prevent guests from driving onto 33rd Place. The sign can be placed on the east side of 33rd Place (right hand side as you face dead-end), which will allow egress on the west side (left hand side as you face dead-end). Club Manager can clarify instructions. _ Clubhouse Doors: During my event, I will keep both clubhouse doors unlocked to allow for two points of egress. My guests and I will conduct ourselves and our activities in a manner consistent with the residential neighborhood in which the clubhouse and pool facilities are located: _ We will not use a DJ at our event nor play any amplified music outside the clubhouse. Inside the clubhouse, we may use the Club’s equipment to play music that we provide. _ We will adhere to the District of Columbia’s maximum sound levels for a residential area. These levels are 60 db(A) for daytime and 55 db(A) for nighttime. Please refer to per Section 5 of the District of Columbia Noise Control Act of 1977, D.C. Law 253, 24 DCR 5293 (December 30, 1977); as amended by §2 of the Noise Control Amendment Act of 1996, D.C. Law 11-161, 43 DCR 3727 (July 19, 1996). http://www.dcregs.dc.gov/Gateway/RuleHome.aspx?RuleNumber=20-2701 At the conclusion of my event, I will clean the clubhouse and/or pool facilities to a level equal to or above the condition in which I found them. I will remove all of my food, drink, supplies, decorations, trash, and items for recycling. Specifically, I will complete the following: _ Return clubhouse furniture (tables, chairs, piano) to original order. _ Thoroughly sweep clubhouse floor and porch floor and, if necessary, damp mop both. _ Clean and return bathroom/kitchen areas to a level equal to or above the condition in which I found them. April 2015 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Remove all decorations (signs, balloons, ribbons, tape, strings, etc.) from the clubhouse and Club property. Remove all trash and recyclables. Club bins may be used unless they are full (lids do not close completely) in which case, all trash and recyclables will be taken offsite. Remove food, drinks, ice, and containers from the clubhouse refrigerator and freezer. Return thermostat to original setting. Turn off lights and fans. Close and lock all windows. Completely clean clubhouse and lock front and side doors of clubhouse no later than 11:00pm (evening rentals). I will return the spare key to the key box immediately following my rental. Pool Rental Rules and Regulations: Please initial each item below (pool rentals only). On behalf of myself and my guests, I agree to the following: _ I and my guests will follow all pool rules and the instructions of the lifeguards on duty. Full pool rules can be found at http://clevelandparkclub.org/documents/2015%20Pool%20Rules.pdf. _ The length of my pool rental shall be a maximum of two hours or until the lifeguards indicate that they can no longer clearly see the bottom of the deep end of the pool, whichever comes first. At such time, my guests and I will exit the pool. _ Any swimmers ages 14 and younger who have not already passed the Club’s swim test must be tested before swimming beyond the shallow end as demarcated by the rope barrier. _ Adults will accompany children into the pool if they require the use of flotation devices. _ Any groups of children ages 9 and younger will have adequate adult supervision on the pool deck. There will be at least less 1 supervising adult for every 4 kids ages 9 and younger _ Swimmers ages 9 and younger not accompanied by a parent/guardian must bring written authorization from a parent/guardian to enter the pool. Confirmation and Agreement: By signing this rental agreement I confirm that the information I have provided above is correct. I and my guests agree to abide by the rental rules and regulations of the Cleveland Park Club. I understand that my failure or the failure of my guests to abide by these rules and regulations and/or the terms of this agreement will result in automatic forfeiture of my security deposit, immediate termination of this rental agreement, and possible forfeiture of my membership at the Cleveland Park Club.
