IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGE: Because new carpet will be installed in the auditorium
this summer, Connect will not meet here at CA for the next two Sabbaths. On July 4 and
11 we will join the wider church for the 11:35 worship service.
TROPICAL TOPICAL: Starting July 11, we’ll begin a new seven-week series—Tropical Topical: 7 Summertime Sermons (and One Swim Party—Aug. 2 at Farmer’s Lake). If you’d
like to contribute to our stage design for this series, we can use: surfboards, boogy boards,
water toys, beach towels, tiki items, coolers etc. See Jon Roberts at the back computer station to contribute, or email jontn100@gmail.com

A Sabbath School class list is available at the Information Desk.
Praise time at The Lantern: Join the Naylor’s at 3:00 p.m. today for praise and
worship through testimony and singing. We meet the first Sabbath of every
month from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. If you have questions, contact James Naylor at
(423) 414-1443.
The Church Office will be closed Monday, July 6.
Blood Assurance will be at the Church on Sabbath, July 11, from 10:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m.
Connect Worshipers: On July 11 Connect will meet in the Academy Gym.
Come join the Apostles of Christ Bible Study Ministry Team. The Lord has
given us a great work to do. We are excited to say that we have many requests
for bible studies. Yet we need willing bible study instructors to reap the harvest.
Come be apart of this soul-winning ministry! Visit our booth in the Atrium for
more information.
Do you have a family member serving in the military? Would they appreciate being remembered regularly by their church family? Email the name, address and
birth date to Pastor Cherie Smith at cheriesmith@southern.edu or hand in the
information to the Church Office.
Ever wonder how your child’s spiritual needs are changing as they get older?
Physical changes are easy to keep track of, but what about emotional, social, and
cognitive changes? Have you ever noticed a new behavior and wondered “whoa,
where did THAT come from?” On August 22 Shelly Turkenkopf will be presenting an afternoon seminar that may provide answers and materials for some
of these questions. Join us in the Fellowship Hall at 3:30 p.m. for some laughs
and stories as we study the development of our children the way God intended
for them to grow.
Play Ball: The Georgia-Cumberland Conference has organized a family game
day at Turner Field as the Atlanta Braves take on the Arizona Diamondbacks
on Sunday, Aug. 17. The Collegedale Church will provide free transportation
to the game for our members. The bus will depart from the Church parking lot
at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are available at three different levels, $10, $20 and $28.
Non-Collegedale members are invited to ride the bus for $15. Reservations are
required and can be made at the Church Office.
Childcare Director Needed: Recruit, screen, and schedule childcare providers for
special church events including a weekly Tuesday morning mom’s group and a
monthly Sunday evening Great Dates. Earn some money while serving Jesus in
this important ministry. Contact Tim Cross for more info timcross@southern.edu.
Men of Integrity Group—encouragement in purity. Contact timcross@southern.

Summer Worship Service Schedule
We will hold two instead of three worship services through July 25. The first service will meet during the traditional Adoration 2 time (10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.)
and the second service will meet during the traditional Renewal time (11:35 a.m.
to 12:35 p.m.). Having this schedule should allow all Sabbath School class attendees to attend their regular classes at their regularly scheduled time and yet still be
able to attend a worship service. As far as possible, the plan is for both of these
services to be the same program, like a simplified Adoration blended service.
This change is only for June and July. After July 25 there will be three worship
services at their normal times.

so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Praying we learn to rest in His Sovereignty. – Isaiah 55:8, 9
