1. ‘Your Brain Matters’ – Alzheimer’s Australia – (Free to Public)
Research shows you may reduce your risk of developing dementia through Five Simple Steps to
maximise brain health. Your Brain Matters is Alzheimer’s Australia’s evidence-based dementia risk
reduction program.
2. Incontinence and Continence Clinic – Bass Coast Health (Free to Public)
Description of incontinence, prevalence and management of incontinence. Continence clinic education and promotion of which along with the information on how to refer clients to the clinic.
3. The Bass Coast Health Falls Prevention Programs and the occupational approach
to preventing falls (Free to public)
The presentation will detail the Falls Prevention Program offered by Bass Coast Health and discuss the
results of a quality improvement research project that evaluated the Falls Prevention Program.
Preventing falls by helping people to adapt their environment and modify the way they complete tasks.
4. Heartmoves YMCA (free to pubic)
Heartmoves is a low to moderate intensity exercise program specifically designed to cater for people
with lifestyle risk factors and those living with stable health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes,
obesity etc. How does it differ from Living Longer living Stronger and Pryme Movers?
5. Living Longer Living Stronger – COTA’s Exercise program (for fitness instructors)
COTA’s “Strength Training” exercise program is designed to increase strength, balance, flexibility and
coordination, which helps to improve your confidence and reduce the risk of falls. Hear the success
stories of older people who have turned their life around to become healthier and stronger.
6. Networking for Fitness Instructors and Personal Trainers
Accreditation for Fitness Instructors Pending with
Fitness Australia and Physical Activity Australia
Local fitness instructors will be sharing their stories and examples of exercises and activities
Bring along your ideas and questions and share them with other instructors.

Anyone over 50 and anyone interested in the health and well-being of people over 50 years,
Cost: Morning sessions free, LLLS Instructors - $88/ person or Non LLLS Instructors $125/ person
