The Third National Academic Conference 2015 “360 Degrees of Social Innovation and Thailand Reformation” May 7, 2015. At 08.00 – 16.30 hours Room 15 – 201 Multi-media Building, Rangsit University Organised by College of Social Innovation, Rangsit University Background and rationality Thailand is currently in a process of reformation toward a modernizing society. This has been creating public debates to the extent of how and what directions of reformation should be moving forward to ? . The whole processes would certainly require supportive wisdom from all sectors contributing to the achievement of the reformation. As a higher educational institution, The College of Social Innovation of Rangsit University which produces graduate degrees of bachelor, master, and detorate as well as to promote and support the faculties’ research, dissertation and independent studies of students, proposes to organize “The Third Academic Conference 2015” as a forum presenting results of research and studies to synchronize with the reformation process. The conference would encourage conceptualize reform directions, exchange of ideas and experiences among academics and university students of both internal and external. Anticipated result from the conference will be published in the forms of proceedings and various areas of study to create knowledge resources of social innovation i.e. Political Science, Economic, Sociology, Anthopology, Law, Criminology, Juditial Administration, Development, Environment, Communication Science, Education, History and Philosophy. In an attempt to gain the real benefit for Thai society, we have invited leaders from all walk of life among private, public and civil society sectors to present and exchange ideas with regard to the reformation in political, economic and social dimensions. 2 Purposes 1. To create academic forum on technical debate and exchange of ideas from the papers presented. 2. To collect and disseminate research, study, and the proceedings of the faculties, students dissertations and independents studies of both students of the College of Social Innovation of Rangsit University and other institutional participants. 3. To strengthen and develop qualitative research, dissertation, and independent studies of both the faculties and students as well as to develop skill of presentation of their academic work. 4. To publish all the proceedings as part of public knowledge management. 5. To create good relationships among institution networking units, alumni of the College of Social Innovation of Rangsit University. The Conference Partners The College of Social Innovation, Social Innovation Research Center, Thailand Reform Institute, Innovation Investment Club and Leadership Club of Rangsit University. Major actors on cooperation and collaboration The College of Social Innovation of Rangsit University, Faculty of Law of Rangsit University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Ratchapat Thonburi University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Burapa University, Bankjak Petorium Co.Ltd. (public) Innovation Investment Club of Rangsit University and various public / private sectors. Participants Students, faculties, emenent persons, government officials, business sectors and general public to the tune of 250 participants. 3 Conference anticipation 1. The conference will enable academics of all universities and general to present their research / studies as well as to exchange ideas and experiences so as to create new knowledge body. 2. The conference will be a forum to exhibit to public on collect research papers of the faculties, dissertation, thesis and / or students independents studies graduated from the College of Social Innovation of Rangsit University and its university networking. 3. The conference will enable to create capacity building in research, dissertation, thesis and independent studies as well as to create skill of presenting their papers of the faculties and graduate students. 4. The result of studies presented in the conference will be published in the form of proceedings. 5. The conference will open opportunity to all partners and participants for a close connectivity and future collaboration. Manuscript preparation Please follow the example format attached and download template of printing format for technical papers of the College of Social Innovation, www.csirsu.com/rsuconferences Research submission Interested participants can register through website www.csirsu.com/rsuconferences and submit the manuscripts through e-mail csi.rsu@gmail.com 4 Paper Presenting format 1. Descriptive presentation will be limited to 12 minuties providing for 3 minuties questions. Media for presentation should adopt Microsoft Office Powerpoint Version 2007, 2003 or XP. Registration fee is Bht 2,000. Note The recognized manuscripts would be printed in full paper of research proceedings. 2. In order to have a mutual standardization of poster presentation, the presenters must stay at the board on time for presenting and replying to the questions raised from the committee members and participants, if any. Registration fee is Bht 2,000. Note The recognized particular manuscript of abstract will be published. The presenters are required to prepare their posters in the following rules nad regulations : - Size of the board 1 meter height and 1.5 meter wide. - Poster must be A0 (A Zero) or 88 x 120 centimeters. - Subject of research paper Font 120 points. - Name of researcher Font 60 points. - Contents Font 40 points. - Illustrated pictures in corporate with research should have a minimum of 300 pixels for a qualitative printing. - 7 centimeters edging. - Printing on strong and durable vinils. - Presenters can formulate appropriate format of their own. - Upon completion of the poster, please mail by register post to the address follow belows : The College of Social Innovation, Rangsit University Moo Ban Muang Ek. Upon submission research paper, please pay registration fees within 7 days. Delay of payment beyond 7 days will not be eligible for presentation. 2. Whether the paper is accepted or not by the eminent persons consensus and by any case that you are unable or to present paper by yourself, registration fees will not be refunded. 3.
