In Holy Baptism, our gracious Heavenly Father liberates us from sin and death by joining us to the death and resurrection of Jesus. As we participate in the liturgy and
watch the water flow, God is at work, adopting and forgiving. The Christian faith is lived
out in response to the work of God. We live
in faith: trusting the promise to be true—that
God, in Holy Baptism, has set us free from
sin and death through Jesus Christ. Living
in faith, we live in Christ.
Parks is brought to the font by his parents,
Chip and Jennifer. His sponsors are Timothy Kobussen and Markissa Hollman.

Community Songfest Coming
AGC Fundraiser Success
Delafield SongFest invites music lovers of
all ages to celebrate “The Sound of Music
Community Sing” on Monday April 27 at
8:00 p.m. SongFest is truly a ‘Fellowship of
Song’ for the community, supporting intergenerational audience singing, educational
voice classes, and opportunities for local
singers to perform as soloists and ensembles.
Our playground fundraiser at Vino Etc. was
a huge success thanks to all of you! It was
a wonderful evening with church members,
board members and AGC families all together. The cash donations along with the
50 silent auction items raised over $4,000 in
addition to a Thrivent Action grant of
$250. With the support of so many, we can
accomplish many things!
In recognition of the 50th anniversary of
“the Sound of Music”, starring Julie Andrews, artistic director Joseph Brachmann
will lead a pre-concert voice class from
7:30-8:00 p.m. for children and adults, featuring “Do-Re-Mi”, “So Long, Farewell”, and
“My Favorite Things”.
Book Club News
The main program at 8:00 p.m. introduces
highlights from the 2015-16 season, “Your
Passport to the World of Artistic Song”, including classical, international folk, musical
theater, sacred, and multicultural children’s
songs. The program concludes with the
audience signing timeless favorites from
“The Sound of Music”.
Individuals and businesses who wish to
support the nonprofit Delafield SongFest
and community singers who are interested
in performing solos or ensembles should
contact Joseph Brachmann at jbrachsing@gmail.com.
Suggested donations for the combined
voice class and concert program are $10
for adults and $5 for children, 18 and under.
Holy Humor Sunday April 12
Razz the Pastor, tell a joke, dress in funny costumes. Holy Humor Sunday, April 12, will again
celebrate the foolishness of the cross, that the resurrection brings us great joy. Art Jaehnke
will help us celebrate, giving us a taste of his upcoming concert by sharing some of his hidden talent. This is a great event for you to share with your friends and neighbors.

The CTK Book Club will meet on April 14,
10am, at Marcia Evenson’s house, 372
Birch Rd Delafield 53018. We will watch the
movie Howard’s End and then discuss the
movie, and book by E.M. Forster. Books
are available at the Delafield Public Library.
You may call Marcia with any questions 262

Summer Worship Times
Summer services will start on Memorial day
weekend with Sunday service at 9:00 a.m.
and Saturday evening at 5:00 a.m. This will
continue through Labor Day Weekend. The
Saturday service will be informal with a
cookout and dish to pass once a month,
weather permitting. As always comments
and suggestions from the congregation are
welcome. Ushers are needed for Saturday
night services during the summer, generally
two people per team. If any one team is willing to serve Saturday nights, you can be
taken off the Sunday morning schedule.
2015 Graduating Seniors
We recognize graduating seniors in May.
Call the church office if you will be a high
school or college graduate this spring and
supply us with your name and address so
we can be sure to send you an invite to be
part of senior recognition Sunday May 31,
2015. 262-646-2343.
Reformation Lutheran Update
Our partner church, Reformation Lutheran,
is preparing to leave its longtime home on
35th St. for good. The search for a new
home continues and the lease with the new
owners expires on April 30th. The Neighborhood Store will continue operating until Saturday, April 18th, but NO DONATIONS will
be accepted after April 1st. We will resume
donations once a new store location is secured and prepared. We would welcome
adult volunteers on Saturday April 25th which
will be moving day for the Neighborhood
Store. Tasks that day will include packing up
all remaining merchandise, breaking down
store fixtures and moving them either to a
new location or storage. We will need trucks/
vans and strong bodies to assist with the
moving. For more information contact Pam
Kroening: 262-853-2660 mail

Family Promise Appreciation
Thank you to all who donated food items,
time and church spaces during our Family
Promise host week. We really appreciate
everyone who volunteered as you are all
vital to this program. It's been a great way
to spend time with and get to know members of our own congregation as well as our
support congregations.
Serenity Inn Donations
Thank you to everyone who has donated
clothing, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cereal,
ect...The members of the congregation are
so very generous! The youth group delivered a car load of supplies on February 24th
when they served dinner! The men were
very excited and thankful. We will continue
our collection through March and deliver the
second load in time for Easter. Please note
that the residents are not allowed to use
mouthwash, but could use men's deodorant
instead.
