14. OLD BUSINESS
14.1 Past Motion:
President Fred Watt bring forward a motion at the next GM of CUPE 905, on the matter
of a resolution to increase strike pay from $300.00 to $400.00 per week. This resolution
is to be presented at the National Convention in November 2015.
14.2 CUPE National Convention Sponsorship

CUPE 905 establish a sponsorship fund of $6000.00 per National Convention year to be used to send
delegates from small, new or remote locals to National Convention.

15.1 Andre Lamoureux – Cornwall (Sept 28 – Oct 2)

Motion to send 5 members to the Andre Lamoureux Memorial School on Sept 28 to Oct 2, 2015 for a cost
of up to $1300.00/member, to include registration, accommodations and meals.

Motion to donation $5000.00 to the Steelworkers at Crown Holdings, who are involved in an 18 month
strike.

Motion to enter into a 3 year contract with KONE Inc. for elevator maintenance, cost of $233/month, plus
taxes.

Motion to spend $230.00/month plus taxes for grounds maintenance, including pruning and weeding of
gardens. Along with $300.00 plus taxes to close and open the water fixtures. This includes winterization
of the pump/water fountains.

The Chair and Co-Chair of the Committee shall be certified members. A quorum for the
conduct of committee business shall be at least three (3) members, one of whom shall be
a Signing Officer. (Minimal 1 member, 1 signing officer)
Communication

Mobile Action Committee
Vice President and fourteen (14) members elected from the membership
at large. Preference shall be given to diversity of unit membership in the committee with
a view to having one (1) member from each Local Unit. (12 members)
