 2015 Cycle ADK – Travel Companions Activities Menu Here is a daily menu of activities to choose from as a Travel Companion. The plan is to have two separate vehicles each day – the “A” vehicle will take TCs to an outdoor adventure, and the “B” vehicle will take TCs directly to the next camp and also offer an optional cultural outing. Adventures and cultural trips will be along or near the daily rider route, and all TCs will be delivered to the next camp. Each registered Travel Companion will choose the “A” or “B” vehicle for each day, ahead of time. Note: All the “A” activities (and a few of the “B” activities) require a registration fee and preregistration; further details will be sent out well before the event. Prices and/or activities could change based on the size of the group. Day 1: Sunday, August 23 (Saranac Lake) A: Guided Paddling Trip – South Creek to Ampersand Bay $55 per person tandem canoe, $70 per person solo kayak B: Star Lake Raft Float / Tour of SUNY‐ESF Ranger School Day 2: Monday, August 24 (Star Lake) A: Packbasket Adventures Beginning Fly Fishing $25 per person B: Tug Hill Vineyard Tour Tour is free; $3 per 6 tastings Day 3: Tuesday, August 25 (Boonville) A: Pixley Falls State Park Hiking/Photo Safari $55 per person B: Black River Canal Museum Day 4: Wednesday, August 26 (Camden) A: Scenic Train Out/Mountain Bike Back $45 per person OR A: Adirondack Saddle Tours Horseback Riding $110 per person B: Historic Fort Stanwix Tour Day 5: Thursday, August 27 (Old Forge) TCs will have choice of the same activities as riders on the Layover Day Day 6: Friday, August 28 (Old Forge) A: Scenic Train Ride/Moose River Paddle combo – $35 per person tandem canoe, $55 per person solo kayak Paddling only: $25 per person tandem canoe, $40 per person solo kayak B: ADK Museum $18 adults, $16 seniors, $12 students OR B: Great Camp Sagamore Tour $20 per person OR B: Historic WW Durant Cruise and Great Camp Sagamore package $35 per person Day 7: Saturday, August 29 (Long Lake) A: Lake Placid Olympic Tour – Olympic Sites Passport $35 per person, includes gondola ride, tour of Olympic Sports and Jumping complexes, discount on Bobsled Experience and more B: Wild Center Tour $20 per person
