Chess: Learn the game of chess from setting up the board through checkmate including etiquette and strategy. All levels welcome. Cut, Paint, Paste: Use fine motor skills while exploring your creative side. DAEG Architecture: Sketch and draft architectural plans and build models with a wide variety of materials. DAEG Blast Off Math: Practice team building and math skills to solve creative math-based problems. DAEG Cranium Challenge: Explore mathematical investigations and solve problems individually and collaboratively. DAEG Investment Club: Learn the basics of investments and stock research. Invest “money,” conduct research, buy and sell stocks and plot investments. Fashion and Design: Find inspiration in a needle and thread. Learn about color and design, while hone your sewing skills with a variety of simple projects. Flag, Dodge and Capture: Work as a team as you enjoy fast-paced games of Capture the Flag, Dodge Ball and Flag Football in this energetic and fun combination class. Game Time! Minute to Win It…and More: Work in teams to “compete” in creative, fun activities that test problem solving skills and inspire creativity. Hands on Pottery: Hands on Pottery comes to Tokeneke. All materials are provided to paint your own pottery pieces. Pieces are fired in the kiln at Hands on Pottery and brought back the following week. Junior Engineers Club....Legos and More!: Join classmates each week to create structures based on a class theme, or your own inspiration, using many different building materials: K'nex, Contraptions, Legos, Marble Runs & more! Karate: Learn punches, kicks and blocks in a fun and controlled environment. No contact or fighting. Belts provided. Optional belt advancements offered through Kempo Academy in Darien, additional fees apply. Life in the Wild: Learn how animals avoid predators, chase prey and stay warm through games and live animal visits. Machine Masters: Calling all future engineers! Design, create, test and refine a variety of machines, including a roller coaster, an egg-drop vehicle and an air-powered dragster. Mission Impossible: Can you get your team across before the other team does? Physically challenge yourself and team members as you face obstacles of all kinds with loads of laughs and fun along the way. Playground Games: Wow your friends at recess. Warm up with fun fitness activities and hone your favorite game skills like wall ball, four square, tag and jump rope and more… Sculpt and Build: Learn various sculpting methods with Model Magic, self-drying clay, paper mache, wire and paper. Sports Spectacular: All “sports” welcome for the energetic sports variety class. Games include kickball, matt-ball, sharks and minnows, steal the bacon, soccer, dodgeball, football, basketball and floor hockey. Theatre Games: Play theater games and learn the building blocks to improvisation, drama, stage presence and public speaking. Tokeneke Glee Club: Get ready to rock out with some of your favorite Pop, Rock & Roll and Broadway tunes! Learn fundamental vocal skills and basic choreography while having a great time! Yoga: Learn the basics of yoga in a kid friendly environment that is playful, lighthearted and fun. Mats provided, or byo. Young Author’s Workshop: Become a published author! Complete templates and illustrate pages to create a unique book using sight words.
