Dear Parents,
We welcome you to the DAV family. The Kindergarten year can be one of the most fruitful of a
child’s educational career as he/she will learn to work at Tasks, investigate concepts through innate
curiosity & build positive relationships with others through sharing, playing & working together. We
hope for your support in helping us achieve our goals.
Please note the following instructions, to be familiar with the working of our school.
1.
Punctuality is a habit to be stressed and imbibed from day one. The children must be in school 5
minutes before the scheduled time.
2.
Personal hygiene is empahsized. The uniform must be neat, clean and ironed, with well polished
shoes. Please label all items from home with his/her first and last name. please send an extra pair
undergarments (underwear and shorts) for change.
3.
Please send nutritious food and avoid junk or oily food. Send napkin, table mat and apron along
with tiffin everyday. Please send grooming kit daily in the bag (comb, sanitizer and hanky).
4.
Pages of the school diary are to be filled & signed by the Parents, giving all the details as asked.
If there is any change in the phone number/ address/ email id kindly inform the class teacher
immediately.
5.
Parents are requested not to enter the class room directly.
6.
Orientation with Parents on 4th April 2015 Timings 9.30 am to 10.30 am. Deposit books,
notebooks & 3 passport size photos.
Textbooks, workbooks to be covered with talc sheets. Write bio-data on note books: Name,
Class, Class Teacher Name.
Maths notebooks to be firstly covered with yellow color fluorescent sheet, then talc sheet.
English notebooks to be firstly covered with green color fluorescent sheet, then talc sheet.
Hindi notebooks to be firstly covered with pink color fluorescent sheet, then talc sheet.
3 in one copy with blue color fluorescent sheet, then talc sheet.
7.
Parents are requested to intimate to the class teacher (in writing) if your ward has any medical
problem or is under any medication.
8.
Attendance of school on a regular basis is very essential as we do not only allow a book learning
method. The activity method makes everyday special.
9.
The Birthdays of the children are celebrated daily in the school. You are cordially invited to join
us on Havana on your child birthday.
10. Read stories for your child to encourage attentive listening.
11. All Saturday s except for 2nd Saturday will be working.
Saturdays – All Saturdays will be Activity days, so students should bring only the school diary
and lunch.
12. Parents must, apply for leave if your child absent even for one day. Parents must contact the
concerned teacher for follow-up work. The timings for meeting the teachers will be from 1.00
pm to 2.00 pm.

2nd to 4th April 2015 will be holidays for the students.
