August 31 - September 2 Breakout Sessions Reach 2015 attendees can expect 10 session blocks full of 40 different breakout sessions. All sessions are divided into five different tracks: ENGAGEMENT Sessions with a heavy focus on engaging your members, staff, and community. LEADERSHIP Sessions created for C-level staff, executive-level staff, and others in leadership roles. LEARNING LAB Workshop-style sessions that offer a more hands-on learning experience. BYO laptop in some. OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY Sessions on growth, best practices, action plans, and tools to achieve operational efficiency. TRINEXUM Sessions intended specifically for Daxko customers who use Trinexum and CenterPoint. Attend all sessions from one track or mix and match and attend sessions across several tracks. No pre-conference sign-ups needed - simply show up for your sessions and enjoy! Our recommended learning levels are indicated below each session description: Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced. Level: Intermediate Understanding Millenials Begin to unravel the often mystifying generational group that is Millennials. Our Millennial experts from Daxko T2 Consulting will help you to understand how this group is changing the market and what steps you can take to harness their power and enthusiasm for your organization. Level: Basic The Successful Relationship Cycle: Turn Joiners into Belongers Want to turn a new member into a passionate advocate and donor? Focus on strategic actions that foster value, involvement, belonging, and help increase member retention. Learn seven creative ways to engage members right from the beginning of the relationship, hold their attention, and move them to increasingly higher levels of involvement. Level: Basic How Engaged Are Your Members? Join us as for an interactive game as we help you to understand how engaged your members truly are. We'll help you to identify which members are at risk for terminating and pinpoint those who are highly engaged. Armed with this knowledge, you'll be able to employ the best engagement strategy for each. Level: Basic Converting Interest Into Memberships You have interested parties interact with your organization every day--tours, guests of members, events, and more. Together, we'll explore how to track those prospective members and create practical strategies to convert that interest into membership. Level: Basic Daxko Engage Cultural Shift We all know how powerful systematic engagement efforts can be for constituents and your overall impact. However, making it happen can still present quite a cultural shift for organizations. We'll explore how to understand the buy in level from all staff, incorporate Daxko Engage into daily operations, and make it more visible to front line staff. Level: Basic Bridging the Gap of Different Working Styles: Successful Collaboration Techniques and Ways to Prevent Communication Breakdowns Misunderstanding those around you or being misunderstood yourself is frustrating and unproductive for everyone involved. In this session, you'll learn practical methods that reduce communication gaps across a variety of personality types and working styles. Level: Basic Coaching Young People in the Workplace Ever wonder what motivates young professionals? Come hear how to harness the talent of your young team members for their own career satisfaction and an overall positive impact on your members’ experience. Level: Intermediate WORKSHOP: Deep Dive on Engage Initiatives that Get Results It takes more than software to drive higher levels of engagement with your community. In this session we'll take a deep dive into the research, planning, execution, and measures to put in place for the engagement initiatives that matter most. Level: Advanced How to Use Daxko Mobile Effectively Whether you currently use this tool at your center, or are curious in learning more about how it may help you, join us as we explore the best practices pertaining to Daxko Mobile. Level: Basic ROUNDTABLE: Daxko Engage Does your center currently use Daxko Engage? Join us to share how you're currently utilizing this tool and gain inspiration from others. You'll also have the opportunity to give feedback to our product team on how we can make this tool even more effective for engaging your community. Level: Basic Reaching Out to All Did you know that 1 in 5 Americans have a physical or mental disability? This session will focus on ways that our partner associations are turning their branches into inviting places for those with special needs. We will also share ideas on how to make your branch more inviting to people with disabilities and their families. Since it always leads to great discussions, we wanted to bring “Big Brains & Brown Bags” to Reach! Skip the “brown bag” and come hungry for a sampler platter of inspiration for today’s nonprofit leaders. Level: Basic Disney Institute Workshop: Member Experience Mapping Inspired from the Disney Institute philosophies and best practices, this workshop guides attendees in identifying and addressing point of service failures, pinpointing experience touch points, and "over-managing" member experiences. At the conclusion, you will leave armed with strategies and a methodology for enhancing member and staff experiences alike. Level: Intermediate Predictive Analytics: Seeing into the Future with Data Wouldn't it be nice if you had a crystal ball and could see into the future of your association's membership, donations, and more? During this session, we'll walk you through critical data points that can help you do just that - no crystal ball required! Level: Basic The Top Global Reports to Edit Join us as we explore the top global reports and walk you through step by step of how to edit them to fit the unique needs of your association. Level: Intermediate How to Utilize Microsoft Excel with Your Daxko Operations Data Learn to manage your data by created charts, graphs, and pivot tables in Microsoft Excel. Level: Advanced Using Gamification Techniques to Foster Collaboration, Innovation, and Creativity Gamification is the use of game thinking and mechanics in non-game contexts to engage users in solving problems. Studies have shown that this method stimulates creativity and directly improves engagement and learning. In this session, we'll explore many different ideas for adding gamification techniques to your organization to improve collaboration and creativity. Level: Intermediate Creating the Perfect E-mail in Daxko Engage We all want our communications to have maximum impact. During our time together, we'll focus on using the e-mail editor functionality within Daxko Engage as well as best practices and tips to ensure your automated e-mails pack a powerful punch. Level: Intermediate 4 August 31 - September 2 Breakout Sessions OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY From Here to There: Getting Your Growth Back Every organization has locations, departments, or program areas that are struggling. In this session, you'll discover how to identify the gaps in what you're currently offering and what the market wants and needs. Then, we'll walk through how to create and execute an action plan for improvement. Finally, you'll hear real stories of other organizations that have repositioned themselves for growth. Level: Intermediate Data is the New Bacon Our Daxko T2 Consultants have developed a T2 Dashboard that provides a snapshot of mission-critical information for your leaders and staff to understand and guide decision-making. We'll take a test drive of the dashboard and explore how and why to use the powerful information it contains. Level: Intermediate Best Practices Lead to the Best Associations After consulting with hundreds of member-based nonprofits nationwide, team Daxko has compiled countless best practices for creating a superior work force and keeping consistent policies and procedures at your organization. In this session, we'll explore how to maintain and increase organizational awareness when it comes to standard operating procedures, newly released functionality, and leveraging branch champions well after launch day has passed.
