demanding industrial tool applications.
Anyone who specifically selects the material on the
basis of the requirements imposed on the tools, can
expect significantly longer service lives. The higher

Reducing material input
As of now, our tool steels are also available in plate
thicknesses – from 2 mm upwards. The plates are
cross-rolled with very close tolerances. Their characteristics include a non-directional microstructure,
almost no dimensional changes during hardening, and
uniform mechanical/technological properties. We can
supply plate material in the following forms: descaled,
inert-gas annealed, sheared, sawn, straightened and,
on request, shot-blasted. Using our steel plate from
2 mm upwards gets you closer to the finished size.
You reduce the material input and lower the tool
production costs.
