⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ IDCN Principles of Membership – Spouse/Partner Members The IDCN is a professional networking organisation of spouse/partner members from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. In order to confirm the requirements and expectations that a spouse/ partner must fulfil in order to qualify for membership of the IDCN, the following principles have been written (the term ‘spouse’ has been used for the remainder of this document to include the long-‐term partner, irrespective of marital status). Membership Principles • Membership is only open to spouses and partners of employees of IDCN member companies • Spouse Members must be unemployed if living in the Suisse Romande region; if living outside of the Suisse Romande region, there is no stipulation on their employment status • Spouse Members must have relocated to the Suisse Romande region in the last 2 years or plan to relocate to the area in the near future • Spouse Members must be actively looking for employment in the Suisse Romande region • Membership is solely for the purpose of the spouse’s own individual job search – business advertising is not permitted • Spouse Members must honour the copyright and confidentiality of information disclosed during events • Spouse Members are responsible for informing the IDCN Administration Team of any changes to their contact details; the IDCN will accept no responsibility for missed communications if the Spouse Member has changed their contact details and cannot demonstrate that they have notified the IDCN Administration Team • Upon finding employment, Spouse Members must inform the IDCN committee whereupon they will be removed from the active membership list but may elect to remain as an Alumni Member Failure to Meet the Membership Principles Should any Spouse Member fail to meet the membership principles above or behave in a manner which is contrary to any of the membership principles, the IDCN Leadership Committee reserves the right to investigate an alleged infringement and subsequently end the membership of the Spouse Member if deemed appropriate. Results of any investigation and outcome will be communicated via e-‐mail to the contact details held on the IDCN membership database. Right of Appeal A Spouse Member who is deemed to have failed to meet the membership principles described above will have the right to appeal the decision; any such appeal must be submitted to either the President or Administration Team Leader on the IDCN Leadership Committee within 28 calendar days from the date that the decision was communicated to the Service Provider. In any such appeal, the decision of the IDCN Leadership Committee is final and further discussion of the topic will not be permitted.
