INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION
Call For Applications
IM Division Doctoral Student Consortium 2015
August 7-11, 2015
APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 10, 2015
Mary Teagarden
IM Division DSC Chair
The IM Division will offer a Doctoral Student Consortium (DSC) at the 2015 Annual Academy of
Management meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia on Saturday, August 8, 2015, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m..
Have you defended your dissertation proposal, or are you very close to defending it? Are you planning to
start searching for a job this year? Would you like to get feedback on your dissertation proposal, get career
development advice in the field of international management, be it teaching, research or publishing?
If yes, the DSC is for you!
The DSC will provide opportunities for structured discussion and informal interaction with prominent
International Management scholars representing a range of research traditions, geographic interests and
experience, and institutional affiliation. The discussions will focus on succeeding in your dissertation and in
your career, in teaching, research, and publishing. Professional ethics will also be addressed. The DSC will
combine faculty panels, faculty presentations, and round-table discussions to provide a highly interactive
day, focusing on participants' professional development. The DSC’s design encourages networking and
personal interaction among participants and scholars.
The DSC will conclude with a "Meet-the-Editors" session for participants to meet editors of leading journals
publishing international management research. It will be held jointly with the Junior Faculty Consortium.
