We have three offices operating in the Lower Mainland, over 120 staff members, and 19 partners. We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our White Rock office to provide accounting and taxation services to a broad range of Private Enterprise and not for profit clients. Your main responsibilities will include the following: Plan, manage, and execute Notice to Reader, Review and Audit engagements; Prepare financial statements with appropriate note disclosure in accordance with ASPE and IFRS; Review and finalize corporate and personal income tax returns, and related financial statements; Prepare special elections and forms as they arise; Identify and research potential resolutions for technical issues that arise during the engagement; Monitor progress of work being completed on files and communicate with team and partners; Identify and analyze client needs and provide exceptional service and advice to our clients; Assist with client management and foster excellent relationships with clients and initiate business development opportunities; Train, develop and supervise intermediate and junior staff. Required Qualifications: Qualified CA, CGA, or CMA; Minimum of four years post designation experience, including minimum six years experience in public practice working with Private Enterprise clients; Experience with preparation of Canadian personal and corporate tax returns, and various other required filings; Experience with Simply Accounting, QuickBooks CaseWare and Taxprep; Knowledge of US taxation an asset. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Exceptionally strong technical skills in accounting and taxation matters; Ability to adapt methodologies and techniques to unique circumstances; Superior organizational, planning and analytical skills; Ability to manage time and adhere to strict deadlines; Demonstrated ability to work with a team and collaborate with peers and clients; Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on client service and emerging leadership skills; Ability to develop a positive rapport with clients and convey to them complex concepts and services; Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; Demonstrated ability and desire to implement leading edge IT in delivering professional services to clients.
