DRACUT SOCCER ASSOCIATION
Fall 2015 REGISTRATION
registrar@dracutsoccer.com
It’s time to register for soccer once again. If your child is over the age of 8 and would like to try-out for
our Travel teams, they must come to the try-outs. Please see www.dracutsoccer.com for updated try-out
dates and schedules. (Recreational players do not tryout.)
Travel registration is $75.00 if you mail your registration in to us, postmarked by June 01, 2015;
registration at the day of tryouts is $95.00. All other travel program policies, including how we choose
players, can be found on our web site. All players are encouraged to register online thru our website.
On the bottom of this form you will find a number of positions for which we are looking for volunteers.
Please help us at Dracut Soccer by selecting one area where you would like to help and selecting it on the
registration form. The Dracut Soccer Board of Directors meets the last Tuesday of each month at 8:00pm.
Please check our website for location and meeting changes. We welcome you to join us.
On the rare occurrence that you feel your child needs to be on a different team in the same age group, you
may select on the registration form that you want your child to go back into the draft to be put onto a new
team. This applies to our Rec. Micro, U6, U8, programs only.
We have a number of registration periods for fall Soccer. Each registration period has a different price.

What is ‘Recreational? “Micro?’ ‘Travel’?
Dracut Soccer is played at two levels. At the younger levels
we play only teams within the town – this is called the
Recreational League. This is a non-competitive,
instructional league; scores are not kept. Recreational
players are 4-7 years old.
First-time, pre-school players between the ages of 3 and 4
can player in the ‘Micro’ league, which has a shorter
practice and game time allotment.
Travel league games involve traveling to towns in the
Middlesex Youth Soccer League (MYSL). You travel to
only 4 games per season; travel time is no more than one
hour to any game. These games are competitive and
instructional.

What is the Dracut Soccer’s refund policy?
Refunds are not issued after the late registration deadline
except if there is a medical reason or the child is not placed
on a team. We do not provide refunds for players who
make a travel team, but later decide not to play with us
(unless for medical reasons). All refund requests must be
made to the registrar and processing fee will be deducted.
When are games and practices?
Our season will start in early September for travel the rec division.
Rec games are on Saturdays or Sundays; Travel games are on
Saturdays only. Practice times are chosen by the head coach and
can be any day of the week. Travel teams practice twice a week;
other teams practice once a week.
How are Recreational teams picked?
We try to keep teams together in an age group from season
to season. This depends on the coach wanting to stay on
board and on having enough players to keep all the teams
together. We hold a draft of all unassigned players, trying
to balance experience to make all teams as even as possible.
We keep siblings together if they are in the same age and
gender group.
Who runs Dracut Soccer?
We are a volunteer organization. Volunteers set policies;
volunteers are coaches; volunteers assign your children to
teams. We enjoy helping you and your children have a good
time playing soccer. As volunteers and amateurs, please be
patient with us if we are not timely in responding to you or
if not every decision works out.
How can I coach soccer?
You don’t need any previous experience in soccer to Coach;
we’ll be glad to train you. You just need a desire to have fun
with kids. All coaches and volunteers must pass a CORI
background check.
What is the Uniform policy?
Travel players in the U10, U12, U14, U16 & U18 division
must purchase a uniform. Information is available at
tryouts. Rec. uniforms will be made available at uniform
sale days and at a retail location.
