The Dunn Chamber Young Professionals will be holding
events throughout 2015 to engage Dunn’s young
professionals between the ages of 21-41, by offering
networking, professional and
personal development
opportunities.
For 2015, Oscar N. Harris & Associates, PA will be the
presenting sponsor for this year’s events. The first of which
will be a Networking Lunch being held on Tuesday, March
10 at 12:00 noon at Pizza Inn - lunch is $8.00. Bring your
Business Cards and come meet other area young
professionals. You never know who could be your next

Plans are also being made now for the 3rd Annual
Successful Business Leaders Forum to be held in April.

encourage awareness and to build community pride for our All America City. Each concert also includes DJ Butch Halpin
of Carolina Sounds, Sybil the Clown and lots of fun for the whole family.

A warm welcome was extended on February 3rd,
during the Ribbon Cutting for A Cleaner Tomorrow dba
Wilson's Cleaners. Attendees joined the Chamber
in welcoming the Hargis' and their business to Dunn.
President Hope Tyndall offered the official welcome
and Past President Trent Carpenter gave the
invocation. Councilman Billy Barfield welcomed them
on behalf of the City of Dunn. Owners Alan and Patti
Hargis spoke about the difference between their
cleaners business and the average cleaners. Visit them

A very successful Ribbon Cutting and Business After
Hours was held at Wisteria on February 10. Mayor
Oscar Harris and Mayor Pro Tem Chuck Turnage made
remarks on behalf of the City. President Hope Tyndall
did an excellent job and Karl Bauer was appreciative of
the great turnout from Dunn Chamber members and
those from the community. Be sure to stop by and
check out this wonderful new downtown business
located at 125 E Broad St.

April 26th. All proceeds from the event are used to
support the counseling services provided by CareNet of
Harnett. The 5K will begin at 2:30 p.m. The Kid’s 1-mile

The 2015 Oyster Roast & Shrimparoo will be held
Thursday, March 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Erwin
Business Complex, 200 N. 13th St, Erwin. Cost is $50 for
the All-You-Can-Eat Oysters and Shrimp! For tickets, call

United Way of Harnett County and the Power Source
Volunteers’ scholarship fund.
The Governmental Affairs Committee will be hosting a
Governmental Update on Monday, March 9 at 12:00

the City, County, State and National legislative offices
have all been invited to speak. Each has been asked to

deserving individual who was nominated and selected
by a committee of local business owners, manager and
customers. On December 12, 2014, in conjunction with
their Customer Appreciation Event, Ms. Jessica Tutt
was awarded the car.
