CIRCULAR
,
Finance Department has concurred to engag'e sanitation workers in
those govt. schools, where the sanitation services are not being provided
by the selected agencies at all, or not being provided to the satisfaction of
the Head of Schools. Such engagements would be allowed only till
February 201S all till the ··finaiization of the tender for Sanitation and
Housekeeping staff whichever is earlier.
Accordingly, all HOS/HOO are hereby directed to ensure total
cleanliness
of
premises
of
buildings
of
Govt.
schools/Offices/Stadia
etc as the case may be by engaging the
sanitation
workers
locally,
in those cases where
present
Sanitation
& Housekeeping
agencies either fail miserably to
provide satisfactory sanitation services or have withdrawn their
services, thereby affecting the Swatch Bharat Abhiyan.
They should make the payment of wages to the hired staff @
Rs.329/- per day being fixed minimum wage as per the latest notification
of Labour Deptt. by presenting the bills to the PAOs concerned with the
condition that total monthly bill does not exceed the amount earlier
incurred as per the tender rates and compliance of all other conditions of
the circular issued by DOE dated 25/04/2013. Further, the H05/HOO shall
also obtain an undertaking
from the locally hired sanitation
workers
that he/she
would not claim for appointment
on regular
basis.
