All Silver CREST meeting SP2 Today lunchtime (GHA) Could all students in years 11,12 and 13 who are already working on a Silver CREST project or have expressed an interest in doing a project this year please come and see me for a quick meeting in SP2 on Tuesday 24th during lunchtime. Mrs Ghanim All Maths League is here! L7 Tomorrow lunchtime (STL) Maths League is a new FREE maths competition for senior students (years 11, 12 and 13). Sit a 25 minute competition in L7 Wednesday lunchtime on the last week of every month and compete for prizes. Come at the beginning of lunch time and bring a calculator. All Chess Club D17 (ROB) Monday and Tuesday Lunchtimes D17. Monday is for competitive and more advanced players. Mr Green is tutoring. Tuesday- all players welcome. All Orienteering Secondary Schools Teams RelaySP1 Today (ROL) Anyone interested in competing in this event should come to SP1 at the start of lunchtime today to collect information about the event and a permission slip. You do not need to have competed in earlier events to enter. It is open to anyone who wishes to have a go. It will be held on Thursday 30th April. Please make it a priority to attend - thank you. All Computer Coding Club L2 Monday lunchtime (ANS) Last coding club meeting for term 1 in L2 at lunchtime Monday 30 March. We will have a 5 minute discussion about competitions and programming language we will use for term 2. This Tuesday at interval there will be a meeting for all the girls that got in in the old gym. Forms and payment must be returned by Friday 27th March to confirm your place in a team. Sports Sport stadium BADMINTON FUN/ HAVE A GO SESSION: Tomorrow lunchtime (zRAM) For any girls interested in learning a thing or two from one of the head coaches of Auckland Badminton, there is a fun badminton session running on Wednesday 25th March and Tuesday 31st March in the sports stadium at lunchtime. Signup sheets are on the boards in the stadium and numbers are limited to 30 per session, so get in quick! Also don't forget to get PE gear. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN DATES! There is no cost! Sports Volleyball Stadium Thursday (VAN) Any girls who are interested in playing senior volleyball next year, please come to a meeting with our volleyball coach this Thursday afternoon at the stadium. It is just a meeting - trials will take place at the end of the year. General Notices All MATHS HELP All (SPE) Come to D7 at lunchtimes on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for help with Maths at any level. Careers Year 13s - Cultural Care Au Pair Careers (RIG) An information session for students interested in au pair work as part of a gap year in the USA. You will now only be trialling on the last day of term Thursday 2nd April Sports U15 Hockey Trial Sports (zHUR) The U15 hockey trial scheduled for Tuesday 24th March will now be on WEDNESDAY 25th March, 4.00-5.00pm. Sports Hockey Umpiring Sports (zHUR) Auckland Secondary Schools Hockey Association are looking for girls who are interested in becoming hockey umpires - you do not need to have umpired before. An experienced umpire will coach and mentor girls on a Monday or Tuesday night, where trainees will umpire the Under 15 grade games. Once trainees have reached a reasonable standard there is an opportunity to be reimbursed for umpiring secondary school games. Please come to the Sports Office to collect a registration forms. Registration forms are also available for those girls who have previously umpired and would like to continue with this important role. Sports Hockey Goal Keeping Sports (zHUR) There will be an introductory session for girls interested in learning to play goal keeper for hockey in the New Gym at lunchtime on Wednesday 25th March. You will need PE gear including sports shoes and long socks. Sports Basketball Sports (SLA) No trial THIS week for U15 basketball teams they will be held on Thursday 2nd April 3:30pm on in the Stadium.
