Fr Nick is a leading scripture scholar who has made his own translation of the bible and is a wonderful speaker. Not to be missed. HEALTH EDUCATION AT THE DHC: How good are your teeth? How good are your children’s teeth? With DUT we are offering free dental advice at the DHC this Thursday 11th June. Sessions at 10: 00 am, 11:00 am, 12: 00 noon and 13: 00 p.m. There will also be handouts of dental products and advice on where to get discounted dentistry. SECOND COLLECTION: For this weekend is for Pastoral groups . Please be generous. 8. AFER–SCHOOL PROGRAMME FOR CHILDREN: the YMCA will be offering their FREE Y-Zone programme at the Denis Hurley Centre for children aged 6-12 at the DHC every afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. The programme will run for a trial period for 3 weeks starting this Monday 8 th June. No need to book in advance – just turn up with your child and register. Open to all children. 9.FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN LONDON: The Denis Hurley Centre is setting up a group for UK supporters. ARE YOU HAVING PROBLEMS WITH DRUGS, ALCOHOL OR OTHER ADDICTIVE SUBSTANCES? Maybe we can help. NA is a group of recovering addicts who meet to share and support each other. CENTRAL APPLICATIONS OFFICE (C-A-O): Have started processing applications for University entry in 2016. All grade 12 students must APPLY NOW by completing an application form together with a copy of their grade 11 results and Identity document (ID). A limited number of forms are obtainable at the PPC table for your request. Please refer to the notice board for more details. 12. BAPTISM: Baptism will be on the 27th June 2015 at 08h00 at the Cathedral. 14. EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS MEETING: is on the 13th June in the DHC hall from 14h00 - 16h00. LEARDERSHIP WORKSHOP : All executive members of all groups in the parish are reminded about their next worshop on the 13 June in the DHC from 9-.00am to 1.00pm. Attendance is important as we discuss matters pretaining to the whole parish—this is how you can keep your selves connected with the community and other leaders in the parish. At 1.00pm Fr Stephen will be meeting with all the formation leaders in an urgent meeting—all catechetical, RCIA, Confirmation and Zulu premarriage members and SCC leaders must attend please, you will be introduced to Fr Chrysostome who will be working closely with you in the future. 15. SODALITIES RETREAT: On 20th June 2015 Fr. Zakhele will hold a retreat for all leaders of Sodalities from 9h00 till 12h00. All Sodalities needs to be represented by their leadership. 3. ISISTHALO: Well Done Cathedralites—last weekend we raised R 57 766.80 ( 5.30pm—R9124.80; 7.45am – R26530.45; 10.00am—R14362.95 ; 12.00 noon—R7748.60 ) We now have only R29 233.20 to raise so we can start the last part of our paving project. For those who were not here last weekend you may make your contributions using the ISITSHALO envelopes at the PPC table. 17. JUSTICE & PEACE: Invite all business owners and people on management positions who can assist in creating job opportunities at their workplace. FAREWELL TO KIMOTO KUNGWA; it is with sadness that we bid Kimoto Kungwa farewell. He has worked for many years in developing our clinic and now has decided to look for other opportunities.
