About the Warrnambool Senior Amateur
The Warrnambool Senior Amateur will be contested over 36-holes at the Warrnambool Golf Club. The event is open to
both male and female players aged 55 years and over. The event is part of the Victorian Senior Order of Merit for the
Doug Bachli and Paul Lulofs Trophies. Points will be allocated to male players accordingly.

No player may win a trophy in both the stroke and nett sections in the 36 hole event. No player may win more than
one daily trophy each day. Points will be awarded for the Doug Bachli and Paul Lulofs trophies.

Presentation
All trophies will be presented immediately after the conclusion of the final round Wednesday 1 April. It would be
appreciated if as many competitors as possible remain for the presentation to honour the respective trophy winners.
Scratchings
Any player wishing to scratch prior to Tuesday 31 March must ring GV Tournaments on (03) 8545 6218. To withdraw
on the day of play please call the GV mobile on 0418 995 478.

Lunch
Lunch packs will be provided to all players for the first round and will be distributed from the registration/score card
return area. There is no additional lunch charge for players competing. Please note that all other expenses will be the
responsibility of the competitor.
Tournament Dinner
All players are invited to attend the Tournament Dinner (included in entry fee) at the club on Tuesday 31 March. The
dinner will commence at 6.00pm for a 6:30pm start. Guests are welcome at the dinner at a cost of $40 per person. For
catering purposes it is essential that all guests have pre-booked their dinners. Guests that wish to attend and have not
yet booked for the dinner must contact Golf Victoria on (03) 8545 6218 as soon as possible.
Bookings will not be accepted by the club on the day.
Final Round Draw
Please note a seeded draw will be created for the final round on the basis of round one scores following conclusion of
the first days play. The final round will commence via a multi-tee start at 8.30am on Wednesday 1 April. The final round
draw will be made available on the Golf Victoria Website at www.golfvic.org.au, from 7:00pm on Tuesday 31 March.
Alternatively, players may call the GV Mobile on 0418 995 478.
All players must be available at their allocated tee time as determined by Golf Victoria. Competitors unable to
compete at the designated time forfeit the right to compete in the event. Golf Victoria reserves the right to modify
the draw.
Course Map
Players are requested to familiarize themselves with the course map to avoid any delay in commencement of play
from allocated holes.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Registration
All competitors are required to report to Golf Victoria representatives inside the clubhouse at the respective clubs upon
arrival at the course. Players must then be present on the appropriate tee no later than 10 minutes prior the tee time.
Handicaps
All players must ensure that their current and correct daily handicap is recorded on the scorecard in accordance with
Rule 6-2b. Players must play from their DAILY handicap during the Championship, with the exception that no player
shall play from a GA handicap greater than the maximum limit of 27.4.
In accordance with Section 17 of the GA Handicap System, the leading 30 players from the 2014 Paul Lulofs Trophy
and any player within the leading 30 players of the 2015 Paul Lulofs Trophy as at March 31; June 30 and/or September
30 will be allocated a Special Competition GA Handicap.
Each player’s Special Competition GA Handicap will be calculated on the basis of scores returned in Victorian Senior
Order of Merit events only, in accordance with the regular calculation provisions of the GA Handicap System and
updated following each Victorian Senior Order of Merit event.
For each 2015 Victorian Senior Order of Merit event, players subject to this condition are required to play from the lower
of either their Special Competition GA Handicap or their current GA Handicap with the exception that no player shall
play from a Daily Handicap greater than 24 strokes.
Scorecards
All score cards are to be returned to the registration area situated in the clubhouse immediately at the conclusion of
play.
Dress Regulations
All players and caddies are required to adhere to the Club’s dress regulations with particular reference to the following:





Clean dress shoes MUST be worn in the clubhouse at all times. Athletic jogger type shoes are not permitted.
Advertising or display materials must not appear on clothing except for brand name logos.
All shirts must have a collar.
Tailored shorts are permitted. Gentlemen must wear long socks or white short socks with such shorts.
Denim clothing of any description is not permitted on the golf course, however, denim is permitted within the club
house area.
Any player not adhering to the Host Clubs’ dress regulations will be prohibited from playing. Any caddie or guest not
adhering to the Host Clubs’ dress regulations will be requested to leave the course.
Golf Footwear
Players are requested to note that soft spikes are mandatory.
Course Care / Club Regulations
Players are reminded that sand buckets MUST be taken and used, pitch marks are to be repaired, and bunkers raked
following play at each course.
Mobile phones are not to be used in the clubhouse or on the course unless in the case of an emergency or a ruling
during the round.
Play will be from the nominated tee markers. Any player not complying with these requirements will be subject to action
in accordance with the GV conditions of play.
Motorised Carts
According to GV’s standard conditions of competitions, it is the responsibility of the player, if they require the use of a
golf cart during the event to send a Medical Certificate and a completed copy of the Golf Victoria Motorised Transport
Approval Return Form for consideration by the Match Committee.
Please go to the GV website under Championships & Events  Resources  GV Motorised Transport for the return
form and more information. Exemption: Players aged 75 years and over do not require a Medical Certificate.
Slow Play
Rule 6-7 will be strictly enforced. Each group must maintain its position on the course with respect to the group
preceding them. Any group with a clear hole in front of them will be considered out of position. Penalties will be issued
to individuals in such groups who by their pace contribute to such delay. Warnings may not be issued prior to penalties.
Suspension of Play
In the event of heavy rain, lightning or for any other reason, the Championship Committee will be responsible for
deciding whether to suspend play. The signal for suspending play will be a verbal command over the public address
system. The procedure when play is suspended is outlined under Rule 6-8b. When the course is ready for play,
players will be advised to return to various locations. The signal for the resumption of play will be a verbal command
over the public address system.
Golf Victoria Heat Policy
Please note that the Yarra Courses Senior Amateur is contested during the high risk summer period. Please
consult the Golf Victoria Heat Policy and relevant host clubs policies prior to play. A full copy of the policy can be
viewed on the Golf Victoria Website at www.golfvic.org.au or can be obtained by contacting the Golf Victoria Office. In

Refunds
Any entrant may withdraw and have the entrance fee refunded provided notification is received within three working
days prior to the event. Under no circumstances will entry fees be refunded after this date unless players can provide
Golf Victoria supporting documents regarding their withdrawal from the event (ie. Medical certificate).
