CSU CHANNEL ISLANDS EXTENDED UNIVERSITY GMAT or GRE
CSU CHANNEL ISLANDS EXTENDED UNIVERSITY
GMAT or GRE Fee Waiver Policy
The GMAT or GRE Fee Waiver Program is intended to help economically disadvantaged students access
graduate business education. If approved, the student will receive a fee waiver that can be used for one
test administration. The number of waivers available is very limited and will be awarded on a first-come,
first-served basis. Students are not eligible for multiple fee waiver awards.
Consideration will be given to, but is not limited to, students from the following groups:
1. Displaced workers
2. Under-employed college graduates
3. Veterans and military personnel both active and recently inactive and their spouses
and/or dependents
4. Historically under-represented populations
Students must have applied for admission to California State University Channel Islands Extended
University and have official transcripts on file with the admissions and records department to be
considered for a GMAT or GRE fee waiver award.
Completed petitions for GMAT or GRE fee waivers will be reviewed by a committee whose decisions will
be binding. The student must have their fee waiver information at the time their exam appointment is
scheduled. Students may only request one GMAT or GRE fee waiver code that can be used to take the
exam one time. After Extended University has used its allotted number of vouchers for the year, we may
not be able to provide more vouchers to additional students even if they exhibit financial need. Waivers
must be used be used before the given expiration date.
Receipt of a GMAT or GRE fee waiver does not guarantee an offer of admission to a degree program.
Applicants must meet the admission requirements noted in the CI catalog for their respective degree
program. Additionally, applicants are not guaranteed additional scholarship or financial assistance.
Applicants are welcome to apply for other scholarships and/or Federal Financial Aid separate from the
GMAT or GRE fee waiver process.
To participate in this program you must complete the following steps:
