Excellent primer and finish paint for interior walls and surfaces, provides consolidation for new sheetrock without
the use of an additional primer, permitting a 2 coat paint system for new sheetrock. A non-acrylic paint product
providing superior adhesion than typical acrylic or waterborne paints.
Faux Real Mineral Paint can be used as a primer for new sheetrock, sheetrock repairs and as a finish paint for prepainted wall and ceilings. Paint product can also be applied to interior wood and brick surfaces.
PRODUCT FEATURES
A 87% natural mineral product, highly permeable, breathable, absorbs CO2, provides good anchoring power with
mineral surfaces by petrifaction (water glass); substrate anchor on smooth and rough surfaces. Provides
protection against the formation of bacteria that forms mold. Product is considered an Eco-sustainable product,
ideal for use in homes, schools, and hospitals, and work sensitive areas.
This paint product is an oil proof, washable matte finish, that cannot be damaged by foods, greases, body oils,
color crayons, or washable colored markers. Cleaning does not essentially change the sheen of the paint. Paint
touch-ups are simple and do not require whole wall repaints.
Faux Real Mineral Paint is specifically designed to be tinted with natural oxide earth tints and 0% VOC colorants
to increase esthetic color values with minimal impact to the environment and to provide toxic free air quality for
indoors. Faux Real Mineral Paint is an Eco-sustainable paint material as described in the Eco Category description.

APPLICATION CYCLE INSTRUCTIONS
BRUSH AND ROLLER APPLICATIONS
1ST COAT
Dilute Faux Real Mineral Paintwith 25% water, maximum 3.75 liters of water per one (1)
15-liter bucket of Faux Real Mineral Paint. Do not attempt to cover walls or surfaces with one (1)-coat as product will appear semi-transparent on 1st coat. Successive rolling will
create waste and will result in over-absorption of paint on wall and will not provide a satis
factory finish. Allow to dry for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour before applying 2nd coat.
2ND COAT
Dilute Faux Real Mineral Paint with 25% water, maximum 3.75 liters of water to one (1) 15-liter bucket. Apply paint in an even and constant pattern, so that a perfect coverage is
achieved.
PAINT SPRAYERS
1ST COAT
Dilute Faux Real Mineral Paint with 25% water, maximum 3.75 liters of water per one (1) 15
liter bucket of Faux Real Mineral Paint. Allow to dry for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour be
fore applying 2nd coat. Do not attempt to cover walls or surfaces with one (1)-coat, as
product will appear semi-transparent on 1st coat. Over spraying will result in excessive
waste of product.
2ND COAT
Dilute Faux Real Mineral Paint with 25% water, 3.75 liters water to one (1) 15lt bucket of
Faux Real Mineral Paint if applicator chooses not use a paint roller cover for the 2nd coat,
otherwise back-roll 2nd coat with a roller in an even and constant manner. Use 25% diluted
material for back-rolling. Sprayed paint should be applied in short bursts to reduce quantity
of paint consumed.
Manufacturer does not recommend application of final coat with sprayer without the
use of back rolling, as this makes touch-ups difficult with rollers or brushes, and may result
in excessive waste of product to provide a uniform painted surface. Back rolling should be
performed with Product diluted at 25% water. Back rolling should occur only after initial
spray coat has visibly dried.

SPRAY TIP USAGE Faux Real Mineral Paint can easily be applied using an airless sprayer. Apply paint product
with a # 0.019 – 0.021 mm size spray tip. Always use new spray tips for starting a paint job
for best results. This will also conserve the amount of paint necessary to complete the job.

Most of our paint formulas are concentrated and require water to be added to them for proper
use. This process means we can sell more coverage in an economical package that decreases the
cost for transport, reduces the carbon footprint, helping the your pocket book and the environ
ment.
Mix paint and water with an electric drill and paint paddle, or mix well by hand! If water is
sitting on the top of your mixture, the paint is not properly mixed!
TOOLS
Apply with brush, roller or with the an appropriate sprayer and sprayer tip. New sprayer tips should
be used to prevent product waste and provide for a more perfect finish.
DRYING TIME
Allow a drying time between coats of at least 45 minutes with a maximum 2 coats. With lower temperature and humidity more time may be needed. Allow at least 8 – 12 hours drying time
before attempting washing or applying additional products or other finishes. Complete
silicification only occurs after several days, and will increase to approximate full strength in
three (3)-months.
CONSUMPTION/COVERAGE
Approximately 2,800 ft2 / 260 mt2 per 15 liters bucket diluted with 3.75 liters water. Determine exact consumption by performing a test on the surface to be treated.
PACKAGING
Plastic buckets of 1, 5 and 15 liters
Application CYCLES ON DIFFERENT TYPES OF BASES
Make sure base is solid, dry and well cleaned, prepared with skill. It is recommended to observe
the rule VOB DIN 18 363, Part C, paragraph 3.

UNPAINTED WOOD
Interior only Sand all wood surfaces as required to provide a smooth surface. Fill all nail and screw
holes with non-oil type putty or wood filler. Apply 1 coat of Faux Real Mineral Paint with a brush or
a paint sprayer, and allow to dry for at least 8 – 12 hours. Apply water based caulk as needed to
fill all voids and cracks. Paint all caulked areas as needed and allow to dry for at least 12 hours.
Lightly sand all surfaces and remove all dust from area to be painted. Lightly wipe wood surfaces
with a damp cloth or tack cloth to remove all traces of dust. Apply successive coats of Faux Real
Mineral Paint according to instructions. When painting on wood it is suggested to adjust dilutions
with water as necessary to achieve maximum effect for smoothness and coverage desired.
Typical dilutions may be up or down by 5% as a rule.
Faux Real Mineral Paint may be applied to some types of wood products without using a primer. This application is suggested only for wood products that do not contain natural resins or tannins.
Surface products to be painted must be tested prior to application of paint, or contact a
manufacturer consultant. Prime and sand 1st coat, 2nd coat lightly sand, 3rd coat finish for best
results. Always test adherence to any type of wood product prior to full commitment of finish
coats.
PAINTED WOOD

Faux Real Mineral Paint will adhere to most non solvent-based caulks, acrylic caulks and some silicone water-based caulks. Always test product for adhesion verification prior to painting any surface.
Silicone based caulks cannot be painted with any type of paint.
SLAKED LIME PLASTERS & STUCCOS
Faux Real Mineral Paint can be applied to slaked lime plasters and stuccos. Apply according to instructions.
NEW CEMENT STUCCOS
New cement should not be painted for about 28 days to ensure proper anchoring and drying.
Apply 1 coat of primer. Apply final paint finish with Faux Real Mineral Paint according to
instructions.
DECAYING OR CRUMBLING STUCCOS OR POWDERY SURFACES
Chalking surfaces, which could prevent the proper anchoring of the base coating must be removed and pressure
washed. Apply Potassium Silicate Concentrate, diluted 100% with water (1:1) on all damaged surfaces, applying 2
– 3 coats in rapid succession and allow to dry for at least 12 hours. Apply final paint finish with Faux Real Mineral
Paint according to instructions.
COATINGS WITH EFFLORESCENCE
Cement surfaces showing efflorescence should be removed with acid and thoroughly rinsed with water. Apply
Potassium Silicate Concentrate, diluted 100% with water (1:1) on all damaged surfaces, applying 2 – 3 coats in
rapid succession and allow to dry for at least 12 hours. For coatings on surfaces damaged by the saltpeter or
efflorescence no guarantees can be provided. Apply final paint finish with Faux Real Mineral Paint according to
instructions.
AGED CEMENT STUCCOS
Interior only When new stucco repairs are performed on older cement stuccos. Dirty and/or contaminated surfaces should be cleaned and any attached algae removed manually or by mechanical means, i.e., with a high pressure washer. Apply 1 coat of primer. Apply final paint finish with Faux Real Mineral Paint according to instructions.

BRICK
Interior only. Apply Faux Real Mineral Paint to brick as indicated for instructions for New Sheetrock or Painted
Sheetrock. To reduce excessive texture created from rolling or hand brush work, apply with a sprayer.
STORAGE
Store in a cool, dry and protected from frost. Close the open containers with care. Store liquids only in plastic.
WARNING!
Do not apply any products in direct exposure to strong/hot sunlight, rain, mist, high humidity (> 80%), at dewpoint formation, or in the presence of strong wind. Beware of the danger of frost overnight. If applied by roller
or sprayer, protect surrounding surfaces as necessary. Protect eyes and skin from splashes of paint. Cover glass,
ceramic, natural stone, brick, metal, wood, painted surfaces and glazed tiles. Clean affected areas immediately
with water. Prominent elements of the building (cornices, parapets, etc.,) should be treated with skill, covering
flashings, gutters, copper coatings, etc. ...
Do not work in air temperature lower than 8 °C / 46° F and not above 31 ° C / 88° F. Clean work tools with
water immediately after use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes and skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. In cases of consumption, consult a Doctor or call the CDC Poison Center
(see Safety Data Sheet).

Do not enter product in its original concentration into drains or open waters. Do not store
at public waste disposal sites. In case of conduction into adapted biological purification
plants no disturbances need be expected. The preparation has been estimated by
conventional method (calculated-procedure) of EG directive 1999/45/EG) and is classified
as non-hazardous for the environment.

Dispose according to local regulations. Empty cans should be disposed of according to
local regulations; plastic buckets are 100% PBS, NO. 1, approved for food storage; 100%
recyclable if cleaned thoroughly prior to recycling.
