Hamayun, Assistant Professor, SEECS/NUST Dr. Hamayun is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. He holds a PhD in Computer Science specializing in Transaction Level Modeling (TLM) and Simulation of Multi-Processor System-on-a-Chip (MPSoC) based embedded systems. He received his doctorate degree in 2013 from Grenoble University, France. During his research, he developed new techniques for the native simulation of RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) and VLIW (Very Long Instruction Word) processors, for speeding-up the initial Design Space Exploration (DSE) and performance estimation of MPSoC systems. His research interests include Virtualization, Linux Kernel Hacking, SystemC/TLM based virtual prototyping and Cloud Computing (IaaS). He also holds a Research Master degree in Parallel and Distributed Systems from Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble, France, and a Master degree in Software Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. His industry experience at Streaming Networks, Islamabad (2005-2008), includes implementation of multiple networking protocols, quality improvement of Audio Codecs and integration/testing of multimedia applications on Philips Nexperia platforms.
