The Book Prayer Calendar… St. James, Waterdown (Halton Presbytery. For Parents: Our Nursery, Godly Play and Sunday Cafe programs will wrap up for the year on Sunday June 20th. We will have child care available over the summer months. Our kids’ programs will resume on the first Sunday after school starts (September 13, 2015). Thanks so much to all the volunteers and parents for their support of our kids’ programs this year!! Strawberry Extravaganza… Saturday, June 20th from 1 to 3 pm. Enjoy fresh local strawberries and wonderful entertainment by our own talented members. $7.00 per person or $18 per family. If you no longer feel comfortable driving yourself to church or have given up your car recently, please consider using the Irene Welsh Taxi Service. Ask Janet for a taxi card (519-745-8487) and show it to the Waterloo Taxi (519-888-7777) driver when you come to church on a Sunday or to a church event during the week. The Caring Community will meet again on Thursday, June 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the parlour. Marillac Place Baby Bottle Campaign... Today, June 14, is the last opportunity to contribute to Marillac Place Baby bottle campaign by picking up a bottle to hold your donation. This is a reminder to return bottles to the church on or before Fathers’ Day, June 21. Marillac Place extends a big Thank You for your support. Mulching Party… Thursday, June 18th at 10 am & Friday, June 19th at 10 am. Bring work gloves, rake, shovel and wheelbarrow. Many hands make light work! Speak to Bruce Lennox for more details. Sunday, June 14 at 3:00 pm…Emmanuel United Church invites you to an afternoon of musical entertainment by the Schneider Male Chorus, light refreshments and a quilt auction. Free will offering to support outreach and community ministry. Blood Program Volunteers are needed...to recruit, educate and make an outstanding contribution in your community today! We are looking for blood donor recipients or family members to share your personal story to motivate others to donate. Not a recipient, not a problem! Volunteers are also needed to participate in community events to raise awareness about Canadian Bloor Services and schedule donation appointments.
