Background and Scope
10th International Symposium on
Modern Optics and Its Applications
This meeting is organized to bring together experts
in the field of photonics science and technology to
share and discuss the new results achieved in the
field and the potential impacts on their applications
as well as their further advances. This meeting will
also provide the opportunity to foster international
scientific networking and cooperation.
Scope of this meeting covers a variety of topics listed
below (but not restricted to it):
• micro and nano photonics
• photonic crystals and photonic crystal fibers
• plasmonics
• metamaterials
• photovoltaics
• nonlinear optics
• optical spectroscopy
• bio-photonics
• optical sensing, imaging and recording
• functional optical materials
• quantum optics

Activities
In order to better prepare the conference
participants with adequate background in
the field, the first day of the meeting (10th
August 2015) will be devoted to tutorial
workshops conducted by leading experts
in the field.
The following three days sessions (11th –
13th August 2015) will be allocated for
presentations of recent research
results by invited speakers and
contributing speakers. Contributed
presentations can either be
delivered orally or in the form of
posters.
