As a Public body West Midlands Police currently procure all Natural Gas via a Central
Government framework arrangement established by The Crown Commercial Services 1st
April 2010. Contract arrangements are termed as 'evergreen' which means as a customer of
the framework WMP can elect for a 1 year or 3 year agreement. Agreements are re
procured with the option for customers to opt out if they wish to do so. WMP current
agreement for the Supply of Natural Gas via Crown Commercial Services - Commencement
date 1st April 2015 – Expiry 30th March 2018.
Initial 2 year contract +

Responsible Officer
All services are supported by the following which is provided by CCS and/or
Corona Energy:
• Professional energy trading team supported by a full suite of market intelligence
tools, independent analysis, industry journal subscriptions and broker screens.
• Specialist independent risk team, supported by an external risk and governance
board with representation across the central government and the wider public
sector.
• Access to fully EU compliant contractual arrangements.
• Fully engaged customer relationship management.
• Dedicated online customer service portals.
• Formal supplier performance management.
• Identification and development of sustainability and demand management
initiatives.
• Provision of a wide range of communications.

Recent installations have been procured via an EU Compliant local Constructing West Midlands (CWM) framework established by Birmingham City Council in October 2011. As a public body West Midlands Police ‘call
