Safety Guidelines and Instructions for Garden Burners IMPORTANT: Read all safety instructions before use of product. See more products at www.foras.co.uk This product is delivered with a child safety device in the form of wick protection which is fixed to the wick top. USER INSTRUCTIONS: Ensure that the wick top is firmly screwed into the lamp before using the product check the threads on the wick top line up to the lamp before attaching in a clockwise direction. We recommend that you adjust the wick height to 1.5-2.0cm over the wick holder top. However no higher than the upper edge of the wick protection. The size of the flame is dependent on the height of the wick. The higher the wick the higher the flame will be. The wick can only be fastened and dismounted by pressing down on the outer protective sleeve and twisting in an anticlockwise direction to remove Always ensure that the oil lamp is safe, fixed and stable and always in an upright position. Store oil out of the reach of children. Please use only Foras approved lamp oil. WARNING: The oil lamp can be turned upside-down without dropping any oil. Use only lamp oil as fuel for this product. The lamp must be filled with a maximum of 75% oil. This is measured by filling the lamp completely and then emptying the contents into a measuring jug. The oil lamp is fracture proof. Always place the product out of reach from children and pets. The burner is suitable for outdoor use only and must be a suitable and safe distance from flammable materials and animals. Due to the risk of soot damage do not place close to light coloured walls. Never ingest lamp oil. If lamp oil is ingested consult your doctor immediately. Do not leave children unattended as ingesting lamp oil may lead to serious health consequences. If oil is swallowed, do not induce vomiting but seek medical advice immediately. See Citronella oil bottle for further details. Spillage of lamp oil on the outside of the product should be removed before use. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Polish and clean the product parts by polishing and wiping with a soft cloth. We recommend for steel products methylated spirit are used on the steel work. Methylated spirit can be used to remove soot on the product and gives a protective layer. Apply a thin layer with cloth, leave for five minutes and wipe off with a dry cloth. For the wood products we would recommend that teak oil is used. Avoid using strong cleaning agents Avoid scratching, denting or damage to the product.
