ROTUNDA RENOVATIONS
CURRENT STATUS

Construction: 39% complete

Substantial Completion: July 1, 2016

Early Capitals Package and packages 1, 2, 3 & 4 issued; 1 package (landscape) remaining to be issued

Landscape Contract Documents reviewed by UBO, currently being bid by CM

Wings & Classrooms Redesign bulletin reviewed by UBO, currently being bid by CM

FF&E Preliminary Design presented 5/6; CD’s anticipated early August

Current Construction Alerts: CA#3 (north utility work); CA #11 (crane on Lawn); CA #12 (SW passage closed for utility work)
CURRENT ACTIVITIES

Continue installing storm water, sanitary sewer & water lines in area between Rotunda and University Avenue

Installing manhole and piping at storm water utility connected to 1850’s underground brick tunnel

Installing equipment and MEP trunk lines in north & east courtyard mechanical rooms

At west elevation, repairing brackets & frame supporting ornamental sheet metal cornices

Demoing terrace paving at south wings

At south portico, removing shoring system and completing brick repairs at needle beam holes

At north portico, completing shoring & capitals conveyance system at north portico, begin replacing capitals next week
NEAR FUTURE ACTIVITIES

Continue north & west utilities; complete storm water utility at 1850’s brick tunnel; remove fencing & restore grass lawn

Continue installing MEP equipment, trunk lines & rough-ins in mechanical rooms & main drum

Complete paving demolition at south terraces & install waterproofing

Complete removal of shoring at south portico; move fence back to sidewalk by end of June

Replace marble capitals at north portico

Continue removing sheet metal cornices at west elevation of drum & begin at east elevation

Begin installation of metal frame at dome room ceiling for acoustical plaster ceiling
