Cyber-Security Training for Law Enforcement and Educators
Cyber-Security Training
for Law Enforcement and Educators
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Texas is providing
this free training course for federal, state, and local law enforcement
officers and educators at four separate locations from May 18 to 21, 2015.
Training will be provided by prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney's Office
and officers and agents trained in Cyber-Security.
About the Training
This 2015 training will focus on Cyber-Security issues, apps commonly used by
students and related security concerns, and vulnerabilities specific to schools.
Law enforcement officers will look at exploiting social media, electronic
surveillance, Brady/Giglio/Discovery obligations, and basic forensics.
Educators will look at trending social media apps, Geofences, Eduguard, social
media and child exploitation.
Both groups will learn when to call and who to call: where education and law
enforcement have common ground.
Our goal is to prepare our law enforcement officers and educators in protecting
our children and communities in the ever-changing world of cyber-security.
