Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission in BE direct
Second year, in prescribed form under Minority Quota (Hindi Linguistic) which is
available on the college website, http://www.ghrce.raisoni.net for the academic
year 2015-16.

A] Eligibility Criteria: (Educational Qualification)
The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed Post-SSC or PostHSC Diploma Course in Engineering/Technology with at least 60.00 % marks in
appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution
with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.
B] Admission Procedure (Rules and Regulations)
1. All eligible and desirous candidates are required to download and fill the Admission
Request Form (ARF) which will be available on the college website,
http://www.ghrce.raisoni.net/ARF.php, and college admission counseling centre.
2. Candidate should take a printout of ARF and fill it. Submit the duly filled ARF along
with attested photo copies of the required documents and Demand Draft at college
admission counter. One photo copy of the submitted ARF should be kept for candidates
record/reference.
3. Candidates who want to submit their ARF by post are advised to make a
Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- (non refundable) in favour of Director, G. H. Raisoni
College of Engineering, Nagpur, payable at Nagpur from any Nationalized bank &
shall be sent either by speed post or courier with the original DD & attested
photocopies of required documents on the address mentioned below with the
header as:
“ADMISSION REQUEST FORM (ARF) for Second Year B.E. 2015-16”

4. Local candidates can pay cash of Rs. 1000/- (non refundable) at college counter &
submit their ARF directly in the admission cell along with original cash receipt & attested
photocopies of all required documents & acknowledgement of a submission has to be
taken by the candidates for the future reference.
5. All duly filled ARF should reached the college on or before 7th June 2015 upto 5.00
PM.
6. General Merit List of all Diploma Candidates and Assignment of Merit Number:
Merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained at the Final Year or Final
Semester / Semesters of Diploma Examination on the basis of which the Diploma has
been awarded by the respective examining authority.
6.1 Relative Merit in case of Tie:
In case of Candidates securing equal number of marks, their relative inter se merit shall
be determined in the following order:
a) A Candidate passing the SSC (Std. X) Examination with higher percentage of
aggregate marks.
b) A Candidate passing the SSC (Std. X) Examination with higher marks in
Mathematics.
c) A Candidate passing the SSC (Std. X) Examination with higher marks in Science.
7. The Admission shall be offered strictly on the basis of inter se merit of the Candidates
and Candidate’s Sub Group / Main Group.
8. Eligible candidates must report in person at the venue of admission centre in
order to secure admission in the round strictly as per notified schedule along with
Demand Draft of Required Fees, all original documents, Four Passport Size recent
coloured Photographs and Four set of attested photo copies of all documents.
9. Late reporting Candidate will be allowed to participate in the round as per the
availability of seats.
10. Conduction of Round-I will be done by counseling only for Minority seats.
11. Round II will be by counseling as per general merit list against vacant seats after
Round I, open for all candidates with domicile of Maharashtra state.
12. Seats remaining vacant after completion of Round II will be filled in Round III (Spot
Admissions) at the Institute level.
13. The provisional Admission will be offered only after verification and submission of all
required original documents along with Demand draft of prescribed fee drawn in favour
of Principal, G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur, payable at Nagpur from
nationalized bank.
14. Seats Available for Admission to Direct Second Year:
These Seats are classified as follows:
1. Lateral Entry Seats: 20% of sanctioned intake, which will be over and above,
supernumerary to the approved intake.
2. Seats Remaining Vacant within Sanctioned Intake (S) : In addition to above, vacant
seats (S) in a course
15. Cancellation and Refund of fees: The candidate who has provisionally admitted may cancel admission by submitting an
application to principal and may request for refund of fees as per refund rules of the
institute.
 In case candidate fails to submit any of the original documents within the allotted time,
the admission shall be treated as cancelled.
16. Candidates are advised to keep themselves updated with the latest information on
admissions by visiting the college website regularly.
17. Group and Subgroup of Courses for Admissions:
The groups and subgroups of Diploma Courses and Corresponding Degree
Courses for which admissions to Direct Second Year shall be given are as below.
Admissions will be effected to Diploma holders of a subgroup for Degree Courses
mentioned in the same subgroup.
