Adrian W. Swindells assists in the representation of school districts, ESDs, community
colleges, private schools and private employers. He provides legal advice on issues facing
employers in navigating the myriad of regulations that affect the day-to-day operations of
educational entities.
While in law school, Mr. Swindells gained experience in negotiations, winning a negotiation
competition. He also worked as a legal intern for the Cincinnati Public Schools in Cincinnati,
Ohio. Through this opportunity, he assisted in advising the School District regarding
compliance with the McKinney-Vento Act and the Davis-Bacon Act and responding to EEOC
complaints. He also drafted board resolutions and analyzed contracts governing multi-million
dollar service agreements.
Before joining Garrett Hemann Robertson in January 2015, Mr. Swindells worked for a law
firm in Portland, Oregon as an associate attorney. He assisted with hearing and settlement
negotiations and collaborated with clients on business matters and general civil litigation
proceedings.
