Jalsu Pass Trek Report
Vinita Chhatwani, Anushka Kalbag, Payal Batra, Aniruddha Biswas and Franco Linhares returned
from a five day trek to the Jalsu pass in the Dauladhar range, Himachal Pradesh. Crossing of the pass
(3450m) to Yargot was difficult as there was too much snow. After wading through snow which had
obliterated the trail the team retreated to Utralla enjoying local cuisine e.g. rhododendron
chutney,etc. at a hamlet, Kothuru.
We went on to Billing, the paragliding destination where a 20 minute glide enthralled us. We also
hopped on to mountain bikes for a couple of hours of fun on the winding roads.
The team was led by Vinita Chhatwani.
