Please join us after service for coffee, snacks, and fellowship in
the Fellowship Hall at the opposite end of the building from the

We extend our loving support to:
My little sister is pregnant with her first child. She has suffered lifelong
from anxiety (medical anxiety specifically). I ask for thoughts of love,
peace and health. – Anna Lucas.
“After last week’s decisions both judicial and political along with the
love and grace shown for a fallen comrade, Clementa Pinckney, I could
have been wrong all along … There must be a God! “ – Roger Finch.
Among the many things that President Obama’s eulogy communicated
to me was the power of the church. WHAT A WEEK!
We celebrate with:
Happy Anniversary to my beautiful, talented, wonderful, passionate,
genius wife, Rebekah Tower. I love you. – Wes.
I am a happy camper. Wonderful month, cumulating in beginning of
certificate turning I am running at my center (amazing) and, of course,
the referendum! Following the Irish referendum whilst I was there!
Love wins! – Deborah Armstrong.
Thank you all for your cards and visits for Chuck. We feel loved by our
Fellowship. – Dianne Lawrence (via Dorothy Beling).
Hilda Howerton gives thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Still
struggle to be able to return to my own home. July 28.
Carole and Walter Lavash celebrated 45 years of marriage 06/27/2015!
Thanks to all that helped with the renovation of the Thrift Shop. – Linda
Turner.

SUMMER PROGRAMMING FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Because our attendance varies wildly during the summer, and because we
believe children, youth, and adults have much to gain by participating in
worship together, we will be offering simplified children/youth
programming during the summer months. Books and quiet play materials
are available at the sanctuary doors for older children and restless adults.
We need a few summer volunteers. This is your chance to spend some
time with our children in a fun and meaningful way! If you would like to
help, contact Kathleen Anderson, dre@greenvilleuu.org, use our SignUp
Genius, or if you get a call, please say yes!
T-SHIRT DONATIONS
We need donations of small t-shirts for our children to use
when they’re doing messy play. If you can make a donation,
please put them in the box that is on the RE table (outside the
Fellowship Hall doors). Thank you!

PUTTING FACES WITH NAMES
It would be really nice if all members and friends had their
pictures in the GUUF Directory. So let’s make that happen.

On Sunday, July 5th our very own professional photographer, Dave Wilder,
will set up to take pictures after services. Just come prepared to smile for
his camera. Other photo-op dates will be announced later.
ART GROUP
The long-abandoned art group is coming back with a vengeance.
We’ll meet in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday’s from 1:00 –
4:00 pm. Y’all come on back and join us again … or for the first
time! Bring your own supplies (sketch pad, pencils or paints,
whichever you prefer). See you there.
MINISTER’S ANNUAL SUMMER BREAK
Our Minister will be taking a well-deserved break
commencing July 1, 2015. He will return to us
August 2, 2015. If you need Ministerial or
pastoral care assistance, please notify michellemc216@gmail.com or
the Fellowship Administrator office@greenvilleuu.org.
GUUF’s needs will be in the capable hands of Dr. Michelle
McClendon and Rev. Donna Stroud whilst Rev. Pat Jobe recharges his
batteries and comes back even stronger than before.
DINNER AND A MOVIE – THE PRINCESS BRIDE
WHEN: Friday, July 10, 2015
WHERE: GUUF Fellowship Hall
TIMES: 5:30 pm potluck dinner (Please bring a dish to feed
about six to eight people.)

Come and join us. Contact Dave Wilder (dave@wilddave.com), Bo Boghani
(boboghani@gmail.com) or Steve Chapp (steven.chapp@att.net) and let us

per person to cover the cost of utilities and other expenses.
The Princess Bride is all about a kindly grandfather who sits down with his
ill grandson and reads him a story. The story is one that has been passed
down from father to son for generations. As the grandfather reads the
story, the action comes alive.

AGELESS GRACE®: 21 Tools for
Lifelong Comfort and Ease
Led by Michele Griffen
Weekly on Thursday mornings
10:00-11:00 am
Fellowship Hall
Suggested cost per class is $5
Ageless Grace® is a brain and body fitness program based on the
cutting-edge science of neuroplasticity. The program engages all five
functions of the brain—analytical and strategic thinking, kinesthetic
learning, memory & recall, and creativity & imagination while
simultaneously addressing physical skills needed for optimal function.
The 21 simple exercises/tools are based on natural movements, and
almost anyone can learn to do them regardless of their physical
condition. Participants will notice improvements in balance, agility,
flexibility, response time, and cognition.
Certified Ageless Grace® educator Michelle Griffen has a background in
social services for people with mental and physical disabilities and
massage therapy, and she is certified in CPR. For further information
please contact Michele on michelegriffen@yahoo.com or 813-833-1834.
NANTAHALA 2015 RAFTING TRIPS

weigh at least 60 pounds to raft on the Nantahala (hypothermia is the
concern).
