The successful candidate will work closely and effectively with the Chair of Governors or Chairs of committees and Bursar. The clerk to the governors may also be expected to attend some or all of the governing body committees, of which some are evening meetings and two are Saturday meetings in order to provide administrative support to the governing body. She/he will be responsible for the preparation of agendas and minutes for governing body meetings, and for publishing agendas, relevant pre-reads and minutes within required time scales. She/he will ensure the governing body is properly constituted, maintain records of governors’ terms of office and contact details. Applicants will be honest, reliable and will observe confidentiality requirements at all times. The ideal candidate would possess a high degree of organizational and time management skills. Candidates must have a proven experience in working with IT-applications such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Fluency in either the German or English language (both written and oral) with a good working knowledge of the other is desired. Previous experience in minute-taking and working with committees is essential. This position requires an applicant who is cable of unsupervised tasking and who is able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure. A competitive salary will be offered. This is a position does not have a fixed working schedule but is anticipated to offer an average of 6 hours per week for 38 weeks per year (term-time only).
