Introduction
The Happy Home Organization has been in existence since 2006
and cares for over 80 Children who are either orphaned or from
needy and disadvantaged Family backgrounds. It is a non-profit
organization established with a pious objective of helping the
underprivileged children of Nepal. Happy Home is registered
(Registration no. 759/063/064) with the Government of Nepal as a
non-government organization to carry out child welfare activities. It
is also duly affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, Nepal
Government (Registration no. 19754/063/064), and the governing
and monitoring body for all social organizations working in Nepal.
Our operational budget and yearly report are audited annually by
Government officers.
Objectives
Happy Home aims to provide the basic needs of food, shelter,
clothing, health and education to disadvantaged children who have
become victims of various social and
political injustices widespread in the
Nepali society. Unfair social structures,
traditional caste system, widespread
illiteracy and the decade-long Maoist
insurgency all have contributed to the
poor physical and living conditions of
some Nepali children. Sadly, there are
thousands of children in Nepal who are
living in sub-standard conditions. Many of
them are working as child laborers in
factories and as domestic helps in the
Nepalese households to the detriment of
their general health and education.
We at Happy Home strive to alleviate this awful reality by
rendering the necessary needs and support to needy children as
well as by creating awareness in the Nepalese society.

The main objective of the Happy Home is to fulfill the basic
needs of children under 18 years of age and uplift their living
standard.
To help those children who are displaced by domestic
violence, and other social injustices.
To help the needy children from the lower caste families
orphaned children, and those from families that are unable to
provide basic living conditions and education.
To create awareness about the benefits of good nutrition and
education among the parents of poor children.
The Children/Happy Home International School
The children range in age from 3 up to 16 years of age. They
reside in our 2 abodes, one for the
boys and one for the girls. They all
receive a solid education at our
school with classes ranging from
lower Kindergarten through to level
8. Subjects taught at the Happy
Home
school
are
English,
Mathematics,
Science,
Social,
Accounts, Computer science, Music
and Dance / Art, GK / Games and Nepali. Children who progress
pass level 8 still reside at the Home, but attend a nearby public
