April Showers Bring May Flowers!

FRIENDS OF THE BEL AIR LIBRARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MONDAY, APRIL 27, 2015 ~ 5:15 P.M. MEETING MINUTES Present: Bonnie Bailey, Carolyn Lambdin, Kathy Whitehead, Carole Conrad, Leslie Riden, Cliff Riden, Beth LaPenotiere and Sue Niewenhous. Ms. Bailey commenced the meeting at 5:16 p.m. The March 23, 2015 Meeting Minutes were approved. The Treasurer’s Report was given and approved. Branch Manager’s Report: The Captain Montalvan Event was a great success (April 21st). There were approximately 120 in attendance and there was a waiting list. Book ends were purchased by Friends of the Bel Air Branch for use at the book sales, and they have been delivered. During this fiscal year, the Bel Air Branch has received $2,250 from Baltimore Reads for leftover books from book sales. New Friends of the Bel Air Branch brochures (250) have been ordered and should be received soon. Old Business: Steve Kline of the Town of Bel Air’s DPW Department, will assist the Bel Air Branch with the installation and the procurement of a base for the Heart of Harford. The Heart should be completed soon. The Beach Bum Book Sale will be held on June 6th at the Bel Air Branch. New Business: None. There being no further issues to be discussed, Ms. Bailey adjourned the meeting at 5:40 p.m. The next Friends of the Bel Air Library will be held on June 22, 2015 at 5:15 p.m. All Friends’ Members are encouraged and welcome to attend!
