HISTORYof infloor heating
Since Roman times there has been “below floor” heating. It
consisted of small tunnels collecting to an arched opening
in the basement. The heat from the furnace (praefurnham)
in the basement (bypocausis) passed through the arch into
these tunnels and thus heated the rooms above. The hot
air was then drawn up into the “flues” set into the walls and
finally through the “vents” in the roof. It was these flues that
provided the “through draft” that made the system work. It
was known as “Hypocaust heating”
infloor heating
TODAY
Times have moved on, technology has
advanced, and both hydronic
and electric infloor heating is now
extensively used and recommended.
We have built on these concepts and
introduced our range of ultra thin lay
flat electric infloor heating. Remember,
the Romans invented it…Cosyfloor
improved it….you enjoy it.

“I felt compelled to write to you to thank you for
your clear installation guide for our Cosyfloor mat. The
installation went like a dream and with the combination
of your towel warmer and Cosyfloor mat we have
transformed our bathroom (which was on the exposed
corner of the house) from a cold utility to a warm haven.
I will not hesitate to recommend your products.
Many thanks”
