Hearst Headlines April 15, 2015 Upcoming Events: 4/17- Spirit Day, Disney Day 4/27- Music Performance Day 5/1- International Fair School News Mark your calendars! The Music Performance Day is Monday April 27th, 2015. 8:30am 4th grade-students wear any solid color t-shirt 9:15am 3rd grade- students wear orange, black or Hearst t-shirt 10:00am 1st grade - students wear blue or green t-shirt 1:15pm 2nd grade- students wear red, white or blue t-shirt 2:10pm 5th grade- students wear black shirt, except students with acting parts who can wear a costume or dress up in other colors than black Please show up about 10 minutes early, as every performance needs to start on time to keep us on track for the day. We look forward to seeing you there! Attention 2015 -16 Pleasanton Middle School Panther Athletes and Parents PMS will be holding a Sports Information Night, May 12th in the multi-purpose room 6:30 - 7:30 pm. The Athletic Directors, Administrator, and some of the coaches will be there to talk to you about our sports program and answer questions. All required paperwork for the 2015 - 2016 school year is available on our website. Harvest Park Incoming 6th Grade Parent Information Night May 13th in the Harvest Park MPR Last Name A-L, 6:00-7:00 pm Last Name M-Z, 7:30-8:30 pm PTA News Spring Book Fair The spring book fair urgently needs 1 parent volunteer supervisor for Monday, May 11- Thursday, May 14th from 8:30 – 12:00 pm. Responsibilities include: Being available from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm. Open the book fair and start the cash registers. Make sure Cash registers have change and different cash denominations. Answer any questions about the fair to the students and volunteers. Responsible for cash/checks. Cash register help for parent volunteers. Head chairperson will train this person on all the items above. There will be volunteers working the fair but a supervisor is needed to oversee the room. Book fair will be held in the MUR and students will come during class library time (no lunch hours) to ease the lines and chaos. Mrs. Taylor will also be at the fair during these hours to help you. We will be selling them at both pick-ups so bring your $4.00 as proceeds benefit our 5th grade Outdoor Education program. Thank you for your support! Monarch Night Out: Hearst Monarch Painting Party will be at Mangia Mi, in Pleasanton, on Tuesday, April 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Cost per ticket will be $35, with $15 going back to our school. 25 max so tickets will go fast!!!
