Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) have become
on, the TPM Tool can be used to carry out a wireless vehicle check.
increasingly commonplace in recent years and in 2009
an EU Commission ruling made them mandatory on all
new vehicles registered after November 2014.
These systems use sensors which transmit their own ID along
with their pressure, temperature and other data to the vehicle
ECU. After a puncture or sudden loss of pressure, many of these
systems require a dedicated diagnostic tool to reset the warning
indicator, as well as to diagnose a faulty sensor and re-programme
a replacement when required.
The TPM Tool from HELLA GUTMANN SOLUTIONS is a universal
tool, compatible with a wide range of vehicle models and TPMS
systems, for fault diagnosis and the resetting and re-programming
of replacement sensors.

In a step-by-step process the TPM Tool remotely activates and
decodes data from each of the vehicle’s TPMS sensors, enabling
any faults to be diagnosed and the details of the repair work
to be explained to the customer even before the wheel is removed.
The data can be stored on the TPM Tool itself, wirelessly transmitted
by Bluetooth or WLAN to a PC, or to one of the mega macs
diagnostic tools where it can be saved in Car History.
REPLACE AND REPROGRAMME SENSORS WITH EASE
Having diagnosed a faulty TPMS sensor, the TPM Tool provides
the capability to re-programme replacement sensors with
vehicle-specific software. This allows universal sensors can
be fitted if required, instead of the OE part.
The TPM Tool is fully compatible with all common brands of
universal TPMS sensor, including Schrader EZ, Alligator Sens.it,
Beru/HUF IntelliSens.
