GENERAL INFORMATION
• A concession stand will be available.
• Belt buckles will be awarded to showmanship champion and reserve champion winners in four age divisions. Pee
Wee, 7-9, 10-13 and 14 and older. Ages are determined as of Jan. 1st.
• Buckles will be presented to champion and res. champion hog, lamb, goat, breeding goat, steer and breeding heifer.
• Open to 4-H and FFA members. Exhibitors may not have reached their 19th birthday by Jan. 1.
• Exhibitors from out of state must either have an official 4-H or FFA eartag, or letter showing proof of active member status in 4-H or FFA.
• Classes will be offered for those with three or more entries.
• Early weigh in is encouraged to ensure prompt start time.
• You must own and show your own animal. In the event that the owner has been injured prior to the show (i.e.
broken leg or ankle) another 4-Her may show the animal. Must be approved by Show Committee prior to show.
• Generators are encouraged. Power is in short supply.

SWINE SHOW
• Barrows or gilts may be shown. All barrows must be castrated. • Show will begin at 6 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2015.
• Scales will be available beginning at 4 p.m. Declared weight cards should be turned in by 5 p.m. Weigh-back
will be at the discretion of the judge.
• All pigs must have an official 4-H ear tag.
• Show order: 14 & up showmanship, 10-13 showmanship, 7-9 showmanship, pee-wee showmanship, hog
show, champion hogs selected, futurity classes.
• Pre-entries are encouraged. Must be postmarked by Monday, May 18, 2015.
2015 Judge: Hyatt Frobose, Manhattan, Kansas. MEAT GOAT SHOW
• Wethers and does may be shown. All goats must have their milk teeth.
• Show will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015.
• All goats must weigh in by 9:00 a.m.
• All goats must have 4-H ear tags and must also have an official USDA Premise tag from the breeder in order
to show.
• Market goats will be shown clipped with hair 3/8” or less.
• Show order: 14 & up showmanship, 10-13 showmanship, 7-9 showmanship, pee-wee showmanship, goat
show and champion breeding and market goat selected, futurity classes.
• Meat goat breeding classes will be offered; breeding goats will be shown by weight.
• Pre-entries are encouraged. Must be postmarked by Monday, May 18, 2015.

• Show will begin at 1 p.m., (or 30 minutes after the completion of the goat show if it goes past 1 p.m.) Saturday, May 30, 2015.
• All sheep must weigh in by 12 noon.
• All sheep must have an official 4-H ear tag and have official USDA scrapies tag from the breeder in order to
show.
• Sheep will be shown slick sheared.
• Show order: 14 & up showmanship, 10-13 showmanship, 7-9 showmanship, pee-wee showmanship, sheep
show and champion market lamb selected.
• Pre-entries are encouraged. Must be postmarked by Monday, May 18, 2015.

• Show order: bucket calves 7-9, bucket calves 10-12 yrs., 2nd year bucket calf heifers, breeding heifers, supreme heifer, 14 & up showmanship, 10-13 showmanship, 7-9 showmanship, pee-wee showmanship, 2nd year
bucket calf steers, market animal, champion market animal, futurity classes.
• Entry and weigh in 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
• All Market Beef must have 4-H ear tags.
• All heifers excluding commercial must have registration papers at check in or will not be allowed to show
except as commercial heifers.
• There will be a 2nd year bucket calf class for steers and heifers. Entries in these classes WILL NOT show in a
market or breeding class.
• Breed association rules will be used. Registration or breeder’s certificates (where applicable) are required.
• Pre-entries are encouraged. Must be postmarked by Monday, May 18, 2015.
