Crusader Celebration
Thank You
It is with heartfelt gratitude that we offer our thanks for
your generosity. Our 2015 auction event held last
Saturday was a huge success! The committee members
outdid themselves by artfully creating a western town out
of our gym and school spaces. Each member devoted
countless hours of time and talent, and for that we are all
thankful. The team included Megan Anderson, Tim
Havlicek, Cheryl Langford, Leon Meger, Bonnie Simon,
Cassy Simon, Jill Stoltz, Ginger Trnka, Chris Wagner,
Jennifer Wight, and Wendy Zweber. Outstanding work,
team!
Our students are particularly appreciative of the
generous donations to our “Fund-a-4Need” effort. Our
goal of $24,000 was a lofty one, but our generous
supporters humbled us with gracious gifts totaling
$29,000! This will allow us to invest in technology
needed to offer the best education possible to our
students and utilize the best teaching methods in the
classroom. We are so grateful for the support of our
school and church communities!
Thanks to everyone who contributed time, talent, and
treasure to make this event such a success! We are
blessed by each one of you.
Please watch for an email containing a link to a survey
about the Crusader Celebration. If you attended, please
take a few minutes to give the committee your feedback
to make next year’s event even better!

In the Classrooms
The fourth graders showed off projects they have been
working on at Wednesday’s “Invention Convention.” The
students created many clever inventions to solve
problems such as unorganized garages, burned
marshmallows, and chilly dinner plates. The fourth
graders had many great ideas to share!
Grandparents’ Day
Grandparents’ Day will be celebrated by Holy Cross
students and families on Friday, April 24, beginning with
Mass at 1:00 PM and followed by a reception. A form was
sent home in last week’s Thursday folder for parents to
return indicating the number of grandparents attending and
if the family wishes to order flowers.
If you have not returned this form, please be sure to do so
as soon as possible. Volunteers are also needed to bring
bars and help serve refreshments. Thank you for helping
make this a special day for students to honor their
grandparents!
In the Classrooms
Congratulations to the Simones family for being the top
selling family at Holy Cross Catholic School in the
2015 Catholic Schools Raffle. The Simones sold a
total of 585 tickets and won a $100 Visa gift card.
Pictured above are Jocelyn, Justin and Jordan
Simones being presented with their gift card from local
Catholic United Financial representative Rick
Mathiowetz.

March Box Tops Winner
The Spring Book Fair will begin on April 20 and will
continue all week. The last day is on Grandparents’
