Frank reported that because the contractor’s original schedule for power washing was delayed due to the CDD Board needing approval of the budgeting for it, only the entrance at Morris Bridge has been cleaned with the exit scheduled to be cleaned the week of March 8th. A new schedule to clean Cross Creek will be established, but both entrances will be cleaned. Frank reported that the cleaning of the mildew on the vinyl fence along Branchton road and the mowing along the fence still needs to be scheduled. He is looking into whether the city is required to mow that stretch of road. There was much discussion regarding the installation of a gate at the boat launch to keep unauthorized boats from entering the lake. The concern for the committee was contamination of the lake from boats used in other waters and boats on the lake not belonging to residents. The committee discussed that no boats without the proper credentials should be allowed in the water. Putting a gate at the launch might create more problems than would be solved. Committee members emphasized that boats without proper credentials should be stopped from entering at the entrance gates to the community, as has been done in the past. Ultimately the committee took no action to install a gate. The committee tabled action on installing visitor and resident signs above their entrances at the Morris Bridge gate house. Committee members wanted to look at the areas before making a decision. The committee voted to install two new stop signs on the islands across from the existing ones at both the Cross Creek and Morris Bridge entrance intersections with Cory Lake Drive. Also, there is a book of the approved paint colors located in the office at the clubhouse. HOUSE AND LANDSCAPE CLEAN UP Please be sure to check and cleanup the exterior of your home. Many roofs and homes need to be pressure washed, be a step ahead of violations. Check your mailboxes and clean/paint them if needed. Trim your palm trees and cleanup your yards. LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE It is an owner’s responsibility to notify your lawn maintenance company that all trimmings and debris need to be removed from the Cory Lake Isles community. Violations may result if trimmings are left at the curbside of your home. Red mulch is not allowed in the community. LEASING RESTRICTIONS The association has updated their leasing requirements and restrictions. Effective December, 2013 the association requires an owner renting their home to have a $500 security deposit on file with the association. Also, an owner must own their home for at least one (1) year prior to renting their home. If you intend to lease your home, please visit the website to obtain the most current lease application and requirements. STREET PARKING The Cory Lake Isles community prohibits parking in the street overnight between 1am and 6am and blocking the sidewalks. There is an automatic $100 fine for the violation. Please inform your guests and govern yourself accordingly. Also, the Governing Documents for the POA only permit two vehicles parked in the driveway at any time. YARD WASTE DISPOSAL Tree trimmings and yard waste cannot be left out by the street all week long. Tree trimmings need to be bundled for the pickup or they will not be picked up. Yard waste cannot be put out until the night before pickup. If it is left out in the front earlier than the night before you may receive a violation on it.
