Dear Friends,
Many of India’s most recognisable shopping centres were constructed a decade ago. Most, over five
years ago. It was a different world then. Shoppers inside them often would not get a phone signal,
let alone wi-fi. Cut to 2015 and digital communication has permeated every moment and event of a
consumer’s life. Consumers of today simply cannot imagine life -- especially the moments involving
entertainment and leisure -- without being ‘connected’ at all times.
But as the addresses that stand for 360-degree entertainment and quality ‘time-outs’, are our
shopping centres also as ‘connected’ to the new rules of customer engagement?
At the India Shopping Centre Forum 2015 (May 6-7, 2015, The Renaissance Hotel, Mumbai), we will
be remodelling the nuts and bolts of a modern lifestyle shopping experience, digitally and physically.
