Trip - Tourism Authority of Thailand
Trip of lifetime There’s one thing you’ll never need to worry about in Thailand: finding wonderful and fascinating new places to visit. Even if you’re current job description reads “Traveling Thailand,” and you’ve been doing it for years, you’ll eventually come to realize that going everywhere, and seeing everything, in this amazingly diverse Kingdom is simply impossible. At some point, however, you realize: I’m not ticking places off my list anymore! I am simply traveling from place to place, learning more and more, and enjoying it more each passing day. You are no longer a tourist. After your long journey, you now feel comfortable in Thailand, and appreciate the full character and charm of the Kingdom. 2 A TRIP OF A LIFETIME LONGSTAY IN THAILAND A TRIP OF A LIFETIME LONGSTAY IN THAILAND 3 6 South Savoring the sunshine at the seaside 62 North Authentic Lanna hospitalit y and remote hill tribes Contents 72 46 Northeast Sample the old fashioned rural way of life Central Ex perience a new lease of life 32 East Copywriting and production by Tourism Authority of Thailand 1600 New Phetchaburi Road, Makkasan, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400 Thailand, www.tourismthailand.org Art Director Special Project : Nakorn Sangsawang Senior Graphic Designers : Patipan Pimcharoen Graphic Designer : Ornchamai Pleumjai Writers : James Goyder, Siwaporn Wongma Production : Laddawan Kiewklangkoksoong Enjoy the spectacular beaches 4 A TRIP OF A LIFETIME LONGSTAY IN THAILAND A TRIP OF A LIFETIME LONGSTAY IN THAILAND 5 Laguna Phuket Holiday Residences pampering spa treatments, a boutique-shopping village and the award-winning Laguna Phuket Golf Club. 61 Moo 4, Srisoonthorn Rd., Cherng Talay, Talang, Phuket, 66 (0) 7627 1888, www.lagunaholidayresidences.com Phuket Ayara Kamala Resort & Spa Phuket is one of Thailand’s most popular and famous retirement destinations.
