The conference will feature Times journalists Mark Bittman, Paul Krugman, Michael Moss, Sam Sifton, Kim Severson and Stephanie Strom in conversation with top food executives, food policy makers, farmers and chefs from across the U.S. to discuss movements toward an American food policy. Joining the conference as speakers are chef and co-owner of Blue Hill at Stone Barns Dan Barber, innovative farmer Will Harris III and Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, among many others. Central to the conference will be issues concerning best practices for feeding Americans everywhere, including questions regarding the changing face of farming, food subsidies, a new kind of fast food, school lunches and home cooking.
