Credentials PLEASE NOTE: Posting photos of NCAA Championships credentials on social media sites is prohibited. Doing so will result in your credential being revoked. For media covering a participating institution, the deadline for signing up for inclusion on the team media list for the Final Four is 6 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015. Media members must sign up to be on the list just as they did for previous rounds of the tournament. Washington St.); Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown (501 W. Washington St.). The rates at the media hotels are as follows: • • • Courtyard by Marriott: $198/night. SpringHill Suites: $185/night. Fairfield Inn: $173/night. Only credentialed members of the media will be allowed to stay in the media blocks and can receive the media rate at the media hotels. A valid credit card is required for all hotel reservations. There is a four-night minimum, which must include Friday, April 3 through Monday, April 6, with a departure of Tuesday, April 7. Those arriving earlier or departing later will be charged for the additional nights. Rooms should be requested during the online credential application process. You should also indicate your hotel preference, but note that we cannot guarantee you a room at the property of your choice. Media Access to Lucas Oil Stadium Standard credentials issued by the NCAA are required for access to Lucas Oil Stadium from Sunday, March 29 through Monday, April 6 and are required to be worn at all times while in the stadium. A media credential permits admittance to the stadium through any entrance. Requests for entry into Lucas Oil Stadium from Sunday, March 29 through Wednesday, April 1 should be made via email to David Worlock (dworlock@ncaa.org). Thursday, April 2 Friday, April 3 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. 9 a.m. until two hours after the College All-Star Game Saturday, April 4 1:30 p.m. until four hours after the last press conference Sunday, April 5 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday, April 6 4:30 p.m. until four hours after the last press conference Note that courtside access is not available to the media until 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and 4:30 p.m. on Monday, and is not available Sunday from 2:45-6 p.m. Final Four Credentials Will Again Include Photos At the Final Four only, photos will appear on everyone’s credential. Media members who do not submit a photo through the online credentialing system will have the opportunity to have their photo taken at the credential distribution center at the JW Marriott during normal credential distribution hours. However, those who do so may have extended delays in line and longer waits to pick up their credential. You are strongly encouraged to submit a photo during the online application process. Media Breakfast Media members staying at the Fairfield Inn or SpringHill Suites will have access to the complimentary breakfast provided by the hotels. Media Welcome Party The Indiana Host Committee is hosting a free media welcome party from 7-9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2. The event will take place at the Fan Fest within the Indianapolis Convention Center (connected to Lucas Oil Stadium). Fan Fest interactions will be open and drinks and heavy appetizers will be available. Credential Distribution All credentials must be claimed in person. Governmentissued identification is required and security personnel will check all bags upon entry into the stadium. Credential Zoning System Thursday: 12-1:10 p.m.; 2:30-3 p.m.EST Friday: 11:15-11:50 a.m.; 12:15-12:50 p.m.; 1:15-1:50 p.m.; 2:15-2:50 p.m. EST Again this year, the NCAA will use a zoning system, with various areas of Lucas Oil Stadium designated with numbers and letters. Those holding credentials will only have access to the numbered/lettered areas on their credential. Generally, members of the media will be assigned credential zones that will provide them access to public areas, working media areas (which includes back-of house locations and the press box), team locker rooms (during designated times only), courtside media seating, and the court/deck during approved times. The credential will also grant them access to Bracket Town. All zones will be designated by the NCAA. Saturday: After both semifinal games Sunday: 1-1:30 p.m., 2:45-3:15 p.m. EST Monday: After the championship game Media Shuttle Service The NCAA will provide shuttle service to credentialed media members to and from the media hotels, the NCAA headquarters hotel and Lucas Oil Stadium ThursdayMonday at the following times: Thursday, April 2 Friday, April 3 2 9 a.m.– 6 p.m. 9 a.m. until two hours after the College All-Star Game Indianapolis Motor Speedway Saturday, April 4 1:30 p.m.– Four hours after final press conference Sunday, April 5 12 p.m.– 8 p.m. Monday, April 6 4:30 p.m. – Four hours after final press conference Note that media members can walk to Lucas Oil Stadium from the media hotels in about 10 minutes without going outside. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will offer credentialed media members site tours of the famed oval on Friday, April 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Monday at 9 a.m. The tour will include a stop at the Yard of Bricks, a visit to the top of the famed IMS Pagoda and a lap on the 2 ½-mile oval. Pick up and drop off will be at the media hotels, the Courtyard/Springhill Suites, 601 W. Washington St., and Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown, 501 W. Washington St. on April 3 at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. and April 6 at 9 a.m. Sign up is required. From the front desk, proceed down the hallway to the parking garage elevators. 2.) Select “P1” once in the elevator. 3.) When exiting the elevator, enter the parking garage and proceed to the left. 4.) The JW is the blue wall on the left hand side. Courtyard/Springhill Suites to credential distribution 1.) As you exit the guestroom elevators, follow the signs to parking garage elevators. 2.) Take elevator to “P1” and walk directly across the garage for the purple Event Center wall. 3.) Take the elevator to “1” and credential distribution is in the registration booth to the right upon leaving the elevator. Fairfield Inn to credential distribution 1.) Take parking garage elevators to “P1.” 2.) When exiting the elevator, enter the parking garage and proceed to the right for the purple Event Center wall. 3.)
