For me images that hold the onlookers attention are precisely what I’m going for day in and day out. Whether you need headshots for acting, personal branding or any other medium we’ll make a plan to create these types of images. In doing so, I concentrate on using your own personal expression and attributes to creatively pull the very best of you into each frame. Throughout the entire process I am directing and coaching you towards what will become a number of captivating portraits tailored specifically for you. YOUR SESSION: I like to shoot a minimum of 4 different looks during a session. Shooting a range of looks in this way will allow you to have multiple shots available for different marketing purposes. I don’t put a strict limit on the number of shots I take per look, and generally shoot each look until I feel we’ve got it covered. Sessions generally last 2-3 hours. RETOUCHING AND PRINTING: I am very selective about what goes out in the world and personally edit and retouch all of my photos. Retouching blemishes while maintaining a natural look that’s fully you is my goal. I submit all final images to you for approval and will fine tune them to your satisfaction. THE EQUIPMENT: What can I say, I don’t take my work lightly and I like to use the best equipment available, so I’ve got some major cameras and lights at my disposal. If I don’t have what we need I’m happy to rent it. CLOTHING: I really like everyone to bring at least 5 to 10 different options for clothing. For headshots, you’ll really just need to concentrate on tops (unless you’d like some 3/4 shots). Rule #1: You have to love it! I don’t want to shoot anything that you don’t feel comfortable wearing. If you don’t feel comfortable in it, you won’t shoot well while wearing it. People always ask me what colors are best and I really don’t have an answer for that. It’s better for me to get a visual of something, so I suggest bringing a wide variety of colors. Don’t be seasonal; everything from t-shirts, tank tops to sweaters and light jackets can work. I love textures and layers, but would generally stay away from crazy patterns. HAIR & MAKEUP: Women’s Makeup Makeup for the session is highly recommended for all women. My makeup artist that has been working with me for over 2 years is $150 for the full session. A hair stylist can be on set for $75. We do this on a daily basis and the makeup is applied specifically for the lighting I use. We start very naturally to give you a clean look and will add a touch of makeup in the middle of the shoot if you prefer a darker look as well. Women’s Hair We ask that everyone come in with their hair ready the way you would like to present yourself. We want your hair in pictures to be as close as possible to the way you look on a good hair day. You are really in charge here because hair is such a personal thing and I want you to feel like yourself. Men It’s not required and I usually don’t recommend makeup on men, but you can hire a makeup artist if you feel you need grooming on the shoot for $100. Also, for the guys who grow decent scruff or feel you might want some shots with some facial hair, you can come in with some growth and we’ll shoot until we feel we’ve gotten it covered and then you can shave, so bring your razor, etc. DEVIN FULLER COST AND SCHEDULING: My digital headshot session rate is $500 for the shoot for Portland clients (All other clients will be charged for travel). There is a $100 deposit required to book a session, this is non-refundable and goes towards the $500 total. The session is 2 to 3 hours of shooting once you’re in front of my camera. Make sure you don’t have anything else scheduled close to the end of your session in case I feel we need more time with you. If for any reason you need to change a scheduled session, I require 72 hours notice, otherwise you forfeit your deposit. However, if I am able to fill your slot with another client within the 72 hour period then I would credit your deposit towards your rescheduled session.: PAYMENTS: A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to book a full session. It is due at your convenience after you’ve chosen a shoot date and gotten it booked on my schedule. I accept cash, checks, PayPal, as well as credit cards via Square. The remaining balance is due the day of the session. We work with freelance makeup artists and you will be paying them directly, they require cash the day of the shoot. I like my clients to be 100% informed, so thanks for taking the time to read all this pertinent information (I know it’s a lot!). If you still have questions feel free to ask. Either myself or my assistant would be happy to help you. We look forward to hearing from you! Thanks, Ivan TAKING pictures IS SAVORING LIFE INTENSELY CORPORATE HEADSHOTS COMMERCIAL & EDITORIAL The majority of our corporate clients send their team members directly to the studio to be photographed. Appointments are made at each client’s convenience and I will spend up to an hour with them during the session. The final chosen images are then retouched and digital files are delivered via Dropbox. Our fee for this type of session is $400. For women who would like to have their makeup done for shoot the cost is an additional nn$150. I don’t recommend makeup for men because any blemishes will be retouched afterwards. Pricing is based on several factors and the needs of each project. Option 2: This option is for up to six clients to come into the studio for a half day. The session is approximately four hours. From there the clients can select images to be retouched and delivered. The session rate is $1500. Makeup pricing for a half day is available and dependent upon the number of men and women shooting. Should you need to add extra people to this option it would be based on the rate of $250 per person. PROJECT RATES Pre-production/Art Direction: $80/hr Hourly: $260 Half-Day Production: $800 Full-Day Production: $1,450 Week (5 Days): $5,500 Standard Studio Rate: $260/hour includes one photographer, assistant and digital service fee. Excludes travel, lodging and other expenses. photography.ivanmcclellan.com
