JA PTO Mission
Elections for the 2014-2015 PTO Board will be held at the next PTO
meeting (May 6th). All of the current Board members would like to
return to serve another term. However, if you are interested in serving
on the Board, please submit a letter of interest to PTO President, Anne
Leoni (a.leoni356@gmail.com).
For information on the Board positions as well as the PTO By-Laws,
please visit the JA Elementary website (www.jajags.com) and click on
the PTO tab.
If you have questions about specific positions, please feel free to
contact any board member. Our contact information is provided at
the end of this newsletter.
Please try to attend the next PTO meeting, the
last meeting of the school year, so you can
participate in the vote.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Log Your Volunteer Hours
The school year is almost over! Right now, we only have about 5,000
hours logged by parents and volunteers in PTO Manager. At this time last
year we had over 11,675 hours logged.
Please take a few minutes to log your volunteer hours in PTO Manager.

PTO Matches Library Grant
Last year, Jefferson Academy was awarded a grant from the Salazar
Foundation. PTO was able to match the $3425 we received from the
grant. These funds were used to start a Leveled Library, which we've used
to help support struggling readers. We've applied for the same grant
again this year, and we're hoping to use the funds to expand the library.
